Seems a Walmart worker in NY was killed (possibly trampled, no firm report other than it happened) by the crowd this morning, and a woman possibly miscarried during the same incident.

Come on people, it is just STUFF.

Yet another reason I don't want to leave my house.

I was just reading that. I posted it on my Facebook. That is insane. It's Wal Mart for God sake.

"I saved $.37 on a big screen TV that I didn't really need."

"Did you hear that someone got killed in that store during the rush?"

"Really? I thought I felt something under my feet... oh well, just a Walmart worker..."

It is ridiculous. And I get to go out and about to go to work in a few hours with these psychos. =/

Never been a Black Friday shopper myself. It isn't worth the headache and the chance of getting trampled in a redneck rampage at Wal Mart.

The worker was an overnight stocker, which hits way too close to home.

Be safe.

It shouldn't be TOO bad now that the "initial rush" is over.

Idiots.

I think that might be painful, so I'll pass.

Yeah, it is impossible to believe while at the same time so very typical.

I don't know what we can do as individuals, other than not participate in the madness. I'd say write to someone, but I know I'm not going to do that, and I don't know who to direct it to anyway.

I certainly hope that at the very least, this will cause the retailers to open their eyes and come up with a better way of tricking people into buying their junk for the holidays.

I think about the stuff I own that I could walk away from, and when it comes down to it, the only luxuries I'd really miss are my computer, my art supplies, a few books and a very small selection of music.

I'm still saddened and upset about it.
