Will she and Lapis ultimately get along? Stay tuned... :)sun_moonAugust 24 2009, 00:13:56 UTC
...12 weeks old and small successes with Lapis (today, a nose touch or two at the water fountain with no hissing). :)
Ezme? Elsa? Zoe? She had a TINY piece of chicken from last night's dinner, the little Huntress. She wouldn't let me eat my chicken without batting her eyelashes at me for a piece. Trouble! :D
PS, she was named Ezme last night, after Ezme Weatherwax, or Granny Weatherwax. I'm fighting with other names as I see her personality emerge a bit more, hence the names with question marks. She seems to look more like a Zoe today, honestly. :0
She's getting there. Slowly and surely her personality is coming out, and she's being less timid and more sure of herself (and the discipline has started as well - she's very stubborn). Lapis likes her, but does not want to run back and forth at 100 miles an hour (who does, except Esme?), so he is still at the swatting and yelling stage when she comes near. We're giving him space, though - he goes outside for most of the day while she stays inside. They both sleep on the bed now, which is really fun. :)
She has 'learned' the 'wakey wakey' routine that Lapis gives me when the alarm goes off, and so now I get purrs and nosedives from Lapis, and whisker tickles on my face from Esme. Scarlet says good morning, too, but I can't help but think it's also a bit of 'I can't wait until you all get out of this bed!'. :D
