Should I really start getting a job? I mean, I'm still kinda young and I should enjoy it for a year more at least...but I also should start the whole, working thing. I asked some family members, they said I should, but they also told me things I didn't need to hear, or, I did need to hear, but I'd rather not, somehow I think they don't think I can ( Read more... )

try a part time job first. it's another thing to deal with. you are already involved in some extracurricular activities so you might get away with not for a while.

it's great for extra money and a bit more freedom, plus it pads your resume for later on. =)

i look at the entire working thing as something you're going to be doing for the rest of your life. its what your living for, to work, for money, to live. im not ready for that part in my life to start. im having fun, sure, sooner or later i have to work, but as long as i have the choice im not going to.

On another note, I just find out new and exciting things each and every day. I have this quintenera thingamajig, and the second I feel like the oldest persoon there, I hear you are doing it too. SWEET. at least this time I wont feel completely trounced.

you're gonna feel like you need a job until you've got one.
the best advice i think I ever got from Packwood was when she said 'once you start working, you're never gonna stop, so why start so early?'. She said that to me while I was musing about getting a job while krystal was complaining about hers. I've taken her advice to heart - as it's probably easy to see. Heh, I might not be the best person to get advice from, jobwise, but I'm just putting my 2 cents in there.
make up you're own mind, though, it's the only real freedom you've anyone's got.
