AWESOME!

Hm, quite late, I know, to write about something that took place on April 4th, but still.

I had written that I might not have gone to the celebrations for Internacional's 100th anniversary. Everything turned out alright, I went and I must say it definitely was one of the best days I can remember. It was really beautiful. There was so many people there, I was astonished!

Marcha do Centenário

We marched from a little square, now officially called Sport Club Internacional, towards the club's stadium. All the while we sang songs about the club and a sound system played recordings of the most important goals scored by our past and present players. There on the stadium we watched a show by Ataque Colorado, which is the band that plays songs about the club, plus the Carnaval Academy, this year's winner, which had Internacional as its theme this year was also there. Really cool.

Proof that I had a blast was that only when I got home is that I realized how tired I was! And sunburnt. I totally forgot I was going to be walking in the sun for so long and didn't wear sunblock. It was 32°C (google says that is 90°F) and no clouds whatsoever. My arms and face were red and a bit swollen for two days and three more days of only redness. It hurt. ^_^ But I'd do it all over again if given the chance.

ETA: Also about the anniversary, I was featured in the virtual book the club put together to celebrate! YAY! hehe
There was a site in which we could write stories about us that had to do with the club. I wrote about how I slept in the stadium once and it was chosen. Given, there were other +130 stories in the book, among some 2000 valid stories that were in the site, but still... If this freaking computer let me, I'll post it here soon.
