So glad they are going to take it slow and figure it all out.

I can completely understand Noah's hesitancy here. He really just couldn't take it if they failed again... neither of them could. The path of true love never did run smooth and their's is a case in point!
But this time I have hope - they both have matured so much.
Love this line - The kiss was like magic. Every taste, every stroke of their tongues, every nibble of their lips, ever sigh felt a little like letting go…letting go of all the hurt, letting go of the past, the fear, the uncertainty. so poignant!
I will miss this story!

But he's also matured enough to know it's Noah's choice and he must live with what ever is decided!
Although of course Noah chooses Luke :-)

Their happy ending is very realistic. It has sobriety and acceptance of their past. It isn't a perfect fairy tale.
I read once one of the stories (the Wonderful L.A series-my favorite series ) -Luke told Noah that their first love was so huge that they did not know what to do with it and it's so true. Now they know what to do.
I'm glad you still want to write about the other characters. you are wonderful writer.

"Finally he(LUKE) spoke again…
“When people start to date for the first time they might think they’re in love.” He shook his head, “but most of them aren’t. Most people don’t end up with the first person they date or the second or the third even. First dates are like trial runs for the main event, you know?”
A few people nodded their agreement.
“But when Noah and I first met, fate had other plans for us… We weren’t destined to share a mere childhood fling… oh no! We were in love pretty much from the start… and… and we were so young! Yet we found ourselves with this unbelievably powerful love between us. We didn’t know what to do with it half the time! It was all consuming … overwhelming! And I think… I think… sometimes we just weren’t experienced enough or sure enough within ourselves to deal with that level of emotion…”
