#01 - Ring
She stared down at the ring he had entrusted to her and sighed thoughtfully, "He's such a worry-wart."

#02 - Hero
Korok was perched atop one of the rocky crags overlooking the battlefield; he looked like one of the great Elder Yarks that made their home in the mountain passes, commanding respect from all who set eyes upon him.

#03 - Memory
He recalled their first encounter: It was storming in Naroom and she was trying desperately to fend off a horde of Core creatures with naught but one of her own; not knowing who she was, he ran into the midst of the fray and snatched her just in time to avoid an ugly, dismal fate.

#04 - Box
Serafi couldn't contain her curiosity any longer and peeked into the box; Korok had left her a message scribbled on a piece of parchment, "I knew you'd look, so I moved the surprise somewhere else. Be back soon - Korok."

#05 - Run
The Kybar magi were admirable in the fact that they always stood their ground; a cowardly retreat was frowned upon and could have a magi exiled from the region for any number of weeks.

#06 - Hurricane
Serafi gasped and turned her head towards the darkening skies above; Queen Laranel had called the storm down at last.

#07 - Wings
Korok didn't know what to make of the strange appendages flaring from the Arderian girl's back; a bright yellow, they shimmered even though they had been burned.

#08 - Cold
He moved closer to the shivering magi and draped his furry cloak over her shoulders with a grunt, "You Arderians aren't very adaptable or tough. Harsh conditions only serve to strengthen the bearer. You would do well to remember that."

#09 - Red
The air was rank with the smell of iron as the two magi rode past the horrid scene; dozens of bloody corpses littered the forest floor below and stained the dry grass a bold, scarlet hue.

#10 - Drink
Serafi almost passed out as the tonic slid down her throat and warmed her body almost instantly; she coughed and stammered, "This tastes awful! You drink this all of the time?"

#11 - Midnight
Korok silent thanked the Ancients for the cover of night, expertly hiding the blood that rushed into his face when Serafi had kissed him good night.

#12 - Temptation
He told her to wait at the cavern for him, but naturally, she had followed him anyway; watching him wash near the spring's edge was too rare an opportunity to pass up.

#13 - View
"He acts tough and serious but he can be really nice, too. You just have to know him."

#14 - Music
Korok's heart steadily pounded in his ears each time she addressed him.

#15 - Silk
His skin was rough compared to hers; such a striking difference was what made physical contact of any kind so pleasant and lingering, no matter how brief.

#16 - Cover
"Then I will be your shield."

#17 - Promise
Serafi gripped the stone between her fingers and forced a smile onto her lips; he would return with the other warriors soon enough.

#18 - Dream
"She's not what I would consider ideal." Korok glanced down at his sleepy companion and chuckled, "But the magi she ends up with couldn't ask for any better."

#19 - Candle
Raw determination burned within Serafi's eyes as she let loose a cry loud enough to frighten every Core creature within miles of the battlefield.

#20 - Talent
"How did you do that?" Serafi asked incredulously and poked at the stony masses gathered around her feet.

#21 - Silence
Korok leaned on his Moga and groaned; did she ever know when to shut up?

#22 - Journey
"Oh no, I'm not a good adept yet. Not like Shimmer or Sorreah. I've got a long way to go before I can come close to reaching their level." Serafi heaved another lofty sigh and curled up against the cold cavern wall.

#23 - Fire
He had kissed her so suddenly and forcefully, her face felt like it was burning.

#24 - Strength
She felt so out of place in the mountains; even the female magi could lift boulders over their heads while she could barely pull a weed out of the ground.

#25 - Mask
Running and hiding was the only way she knew how to deal with Korok's ridiculous declaration.

#26 - Ice
Their warm words had frosted into a cold and strange conversation; neither knew what the other was thinking any more.

#27 - Fall
The way his shoulders slumped when she mentioned his earlier promise was quite amusing.

#28 - Forgotten
"Don't tell me you've forgotten how to use the spell already?"

#29 - Dance
The way she moved around the battlefield perplexed him; not at all uniform, she had her own rhythm.

#30 - Body
Serafi found herself staring at him more often than usual; grimy and sweaty, he was an absolute vision.

#31 - Sacred
"Hey, watch how you handle that! It's a priceless relic, not a piece of meat!"

#32 - Farewells
Good-byes were so uncomfortable, especially if it was with an emotional basket case like Serafi.

#33 - World
Korok exploded into a fit of laughter at her clumsy reaction; she was caught up in her own little world again.

#34 - Formal
"We don't use that kind of fancy talk in the Teeth. Just call me Korok."

#35 - Fever
The roaring camp fire or Korok's sturdy arms around her bare waist; which was to blame for the sweat beading along her forehead?

#36 - Laugh
Serafi folded her arms under her chest and wondered: does he even know how to laugh?

#37 - Lies
He scoffed at her pathetic excuse; all she wanted was a chance to see him half-naked again.

#38 - Forever
There was no such thing as eternity, but he was willing to spend a lifetime watching over her.

#39 - Overwhelmed
Korok's heart almost gave out when Serafi zoomed across the rickety bridge that spanned the abysmal chasm.

#40 - Whisper
"Did you just say what I think you said? Say it louder."

#41 - Wait
She could never stand in one place very long.

#42 - Talk
There was something different about the way he spoke to her; an undertone of gentleness had slipped into his voice.

#43 - Search
Serafi would watch the night sky intently, waiting for a shooting star so she could make another wish to remain in Kybar.

#44 - Hope
It was almost impossible to bring her spirits down.

#45 - Eclipse
"I knew it was an eclipse spell when the sky went black. It is daytime, you know."

#46 - Gravity
Korok crawled impatiently onto the palette, bending over her, with an enthusiastic look glimmering in his dark eyes.

#47 - Highway
Crossroads were something that Serafi came to adore, as this path had led her to a place where she finally belonged.

#48 - Unknown
"It's pointless to worry about what tomorrow will bring. Today has enough trouble of its own, so concentrate on now."

#49 - Lock
"Oh, you want the key, don't you?" Korok dangled the shiny bauble a few inches in front of her face and added with a sly grin, "Come and get it."

#50 - Breathe
Everyone was so enthralled with Amara's dull song, it sickened Korok; the only lullaby he preferred was his beloved's sweet breath against his chest.
