Summary: Barak rambles on a lot but Tryn no longer finds it annoying. It's actually quite endearing.
Notes: Please enjoy. :3

Tryn walked along the lava crusted shores that surrounded her beloved's ancestral home. Ash and flame flickered around her auburn hair, giving her body a divine glow. Her green eyes curiously watched the lava rise and cede beneath her feet. Such smells and heat used to be an extreme bother; it would aggravate any forest-dwelling magi. But that all changed.

In a way, she was grateful to Core. Had it not been for the shadow geyser in her home region, she wouldn't have met Barak. Of all the disaster and sorrow the events brought to the Moonlands, a little good had come of it. A small smile passed her lips as she stopped by a large, black boulder to rest.

The tips of her gauntlets glowed as she attempted another Fireball spell. Her last endeavor ended in singing Valkan's staff to ash; a mistake that earned her a long, lengthy lecture from the miffed midget.

"Trying again?" A stern voice demanded her attention suddenly. As she raised her head, Barak stood a few feet away from her beside the lava pool. His burdensome mantle had been discarded and the sight of his brawny, raw muscles caused Tryn to turn her head slightly as blood pooled into her cheeks.

"I'll get it eventually." She answered, focusing solely on the energy gathered around her fingers. Her heart almost stopped when Barak reached out and grabbed one of her arms.

"Let me help." He grumbled.

Tryn pulled away from him and retorted, "I can do it myself."

Barak tromped forward and grunted, "It would much quicker if I showed you."

He reached around her waist and held her arms aloft. Energy surged from his giant hands and flared out from hers in a gush of sulfurous flame that scorched the cliff wall adjacent to them. Residue from the spell's energy lingered over them momentarily, gently warming their embrace.

Barak leaned over her shoulder and mumbled, "I know I've said this a thousand times, but, your eyes look beautiful in the firelight."

Tryn bit her lower lip and rested her head against his chest as a tear slid down her cheek. She whispered back to him, "The more you say it the better it sounds."

Title: King & Queen
Author: sodapop_mermaid
Fandom: Magi Nation
Characters/Pairing: Bria x Qwade
Table: Mystic
Prompt: #01: Sanctuary
Rating: PG
Warnings: Minor spoilers for the "Great Relic Robbery" storyline.
Word Count: 172
Summary: Qwade enjoys some well-deserved affection and glory.
Notes: Please enjoy. :3

Sighing and stroking the precious relic she had retrieved from the Cald region, Bria couldn't be happier. She was surrounded by the treasures and lore of the entire Moonlands. Her collection was almost complete. Her new vault had become a sacred place. Not only did it store and protect her darling trinkets, but it also housed her beloved Qwade.

His eyes remained upon her. It was difficult to look away when she was in her element. Instead of her usually childish demeanor, Bria had become confident and determined. It was quite appealing. He was perched upon a throne of stone and star fire, the honor he deserved.

"Can we go to Naroom next?" Bria swam over to her guardian and settled onto his lap. She squeaked when one of his thick tentacles caressed her puffy cheeks. Throwing her arms around his neck, she purred, "I can't wait to raid the next region."

A sinister grin slid beneath Qwade's helm as he pat his beloved's shoulder and sighed, "Nor can I, my love."
