It has been a very long time since I gave any sign of life here on my LJ, but inbetween some studying sessions I found the time to write about last month....
So, let's start with
After getting our results (Ine graduated this year), Ine and I loaded up my parents car, and took the highway to southern France. The first day, we stayed on a camping, surrounded by dutch people, but the next days, we went to Leucate, near a lake where Rik (Ine's father) and his friend Noël go to each year to practice their windsurfing skills...
Sunset by the Lake, with the foothills of the pyrenees in the background
Rik couldn't leave without his dogs (Cali deliberately posing for a portrait :) )
On the first day, Kim (Noël's son) and Marjan (His gf) delighted us with some BBQ.

The next few days, Ine and I tried to windsurf ourselves, but mostly sat aside, since the winds were too strong for uw amateurs.. :)

After a few days and a farewell dinner in a typical French restaurant, Ine and I left the rest to head to Spain.
The first days we stayed in Torroella de Montgri, a small town 40 km above Barcelona..
Typical pottery-shops in Pals
And since we were so close, we couldn't resist going to Barcelona for two nights..
The first thing we did after finding a reasonably priced hotel (with a parking for the car), was strolling down the ramblas till one 12 o'clock in the evening,...
This guy was by far the most funny MJ impersonator ever!
The Next morning, we visited Parc Guëll (which was situated at 1km from our hotel) and the Sagrada Familia...
I me and Ine have visited Barcelona 2 years ago (I was there with my fellow scouts), but we both didn't have the chance to visit the Sagrada Familia from the inside.
(special thing here is Jesus' head (Since it looks like it turning while you walk along the side of the temple))
The most impressive thing about this temple is that every part of is is incredibely detailed
In the evening we went to see some fishes in Europes biggest saltwater aquarium.
And we went to one of those cheap "all you can eat for 7,50€" restaurant, where Ine's shirt confirmed what I already knew.
On the way back home, we stayed 2 more nights with Rik, in his mobilhome.
It sure was a fun vacation, with 3300 km of open roads (except for Barcelona Centre, that really was Driver's Hell), good food and good weather, and last but not least, good company.
Thanks to Rik, Noël, Kim and Marjan for giving us a great time.
and don't forget to brush from time to time....
