Some upperclassmen told me that you should include your best work in terms of technical aspects, not personal. Even if you think it sucks, if it shows off your mastery of two-point perspective, or the light is captured well on the objects, then include it.

Observational work is also a plus. Most art juries can tell if a picture has been done from observation, imagination, or photo.
