The library really is quite remarkable. I do enjoy how the books move around. They seem happier that way. One in particular, I was just glancing through, and it was interesting to see how other worlds view creatures like the unicorn and the dragon. For some they are just fairy tales and for others they are great prophets, omens of good fortune or ( Read more... )

oh the places you'll go, animal kind, human nature, love in all things, destrier named destrier, castle in the sky, through the looking glass, more than we seem

We don't have unicorns where I'm from. Everything else but unicorns. I'm not even sure what a thestral is.

Have you seen the unicorns at the zoo yet?

I haven't gotten to go to the zoo yet, but I'll go when the weather warms up. Are they all white like I always see in the pictures?

You know, I've never seen one that wasn't white, but I would hope there would be different colored ones in one world or another...they are beautiful either way of course.

People's opinions on unicorns depend on how much they really know about them. In Camelot, their horns were considered a sign of superiority over other Kingdoms. I think both the King and Arthur have learnt that isn't true, now.

I had thought dragons were capable of both flight and walking?

[ooc: i can't sleeeeep. D= and i'm posting from my phone. the tiny text is making my eyes tired though, so...yay? idk any more. this post probably makes no sense either.]

And how did they learn that?

Oh some can, but some can't do either. It's quite a curious thing really~

A curse fell over Camelot after a unicorn was killed. The wells dried up, the crops died, and all food reserves rotted. Because Arthur was the one to kill it, he was tested by the keeper of the unicorns before the curse could be lifted. He tried to give up his life for mine. Arthur saved the entire Kingdom.

It is the same with things like speech. Most people I spoke to about it seemed shocked at the idea that dragons can talk. But I think that may be a difference between worlds. Some talk, and some do not.

I am glad your kingdom was saved. That must have been awful though, for the unicorn, and Arthur, and you as well, I imagine. I'm very sorry.

Possibly. And possibly, all of them talk but not everyone can hear or understand what it is they are saying~ They are a bit like people in that respect.

A bit, but I am fond of the cold, as it reminds me of exactly how nice it is to be warm again.

I suppose they are not for everyone, though this one does seem to cater to most any interest.

I usually have to order my books special, because the libraries near me don't have braille.

I would be happy to look for you to see if this library does, if you decided there was something you might wish to read.
