Maou episode 10.
SPOLERS AHEAD. DO NOT GO UNDER THE CUT IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE SPOILED.

- RECAP
- Naoto moping, Shiori approaches him and talks to Naoto. I think she asked Naoto if he knew who the man behind everything was. (SHIT. OHNO'S SCARY FACE. SHIT. And Shiori, Shiori shouldn't be crying. Too much dialogue, I am so lost. *weeps*)
- Ryo enters his office. His assistant tells him something.
- Naoto is trying to put the pieces of the puzzle between the affair together. He calls out Mari-san for a few questions. I think he's trying to confirm it from her, but she denies it. Nii-san is worried that Naoto is up to something, I think Naoto mentioned something about Kasai.
- Naoto interrogates Kasai again. Kasai stands firm. He takes the blame upon himself to save Mari-san. (I don't know people, that hollow look on Kasai is painful. Very painful.) Mari-san watches the interrogation behind a one-way mirror and sees Kasai do his best to take the blame for a crime he didn't commit to save her, to protect her. (I... Kasai's acting. Superb.)
- Nii-san is agitated. He knows that Naoto knows. He asks Mari where she's been. He's surprised to see Naoto follow her. I think Mari told them about Kasai's Alibi, that she was with Kasai when Souda died. Nii-san flares up and punches Naoto saying "Don't fuck with me!". (The whole confrontation was VERY EMOTIONAL) Eisaku enters and asks what's wrong looking at both his sons as Mari runs away.
- Serizawa men talk. I think Nii-san just declared that he's divorcing Mari?! Or maybe it's something else. Nii-san asks Eisaku something about their mother.
- Eisaku leaves the room, as he's about to enter another one, we see him clutching at his chest.
- Serizawa brothers talk. I think Naoto asked Nii-san if he had anything to do with Souda's death. He kind of blew it though, with the way he reacted when Naoto explained the connection with Kasai. Naoto leaves.
- We see a red envelope amongst a stack of letters.
- Ryo visits Kasai: Ryo says something about Nii-san, to which Kasai reacts with disbelief. I think Ryo explained how Mari admitted to save Kasai.
- Ryo flashes back to Shiori. How she wanted to be his angel. And how she tried to bring back the humanity in him by asking him to stop.
- Ryo said something about the girl.
- Ryo and Naoto meet at the stairwell. I think Naoto is confronting Ryo and still believes that Ryo IS Tomoo. Or something like that. idk
OPENING CREDITS STILL HOT EVEN WITH ONE LAST EPISODE TO GO!!!
- Ryo-Naoto stairwell confrontation: Naoto says something about Tomoo's mom, saying 'anata' referring to Ryo. Ryo's blatant confusion is PRICELESS.
- Ryo walks down, Naoto calls him Manaka Tomoo-san and apologizes. I think Naoto's apology was heartfelt. Ryo stops him, teary-eyed. I don't know if Ryo acknowledged that he really was Tomoo.
- Kaoru enters the building, running toward Naoto with a red envelope. The look of surprised on Ryo's face when he saw the envelope. OH MY GOD. The two look at him while holding the envelope. It contains pictures. Pictures of Nii-san. Once they're done looking, Naoto looks at Ryo but he's not there anymore. Naoto flashes back to his conversations with his brother and Ryo. Naoto runs.
- Nii-san finally finds the red envelope in the inbox and freezes up as he sees his pictures coming out of the warehouse where Souda died.
- Ryo and Yamano talks. Shit, Yamano is creepy. But he's crying as he recalls something with Hideo. Ryo declares that this is the last. He leaves a red envelope behind.
- Naoto stares at Kasai's pen that was considered evidence for Souda's death, asks Shiori to "look" at it. Naoto asks her to tell him everything she "sees".
- Shiori's vision: She sees someone offer Souda a cigarette, see said someone light Souda's cigar. Then sees Souda lose his grip on the cigar as he chokes. Sees Souda choking. SEE'S NII-SAN STAND UP!
- Shiori explains all she sees to Naoto. And confirms from a picture that it was Nii-san that she saw. Naoto stands up disbelieving, and hollowly thanks Shiori. Shiori asks if Naoto possibly knows who the man is. Naoto tells her that he is his brother then leaves.
- Naoto walks aimlessly under the pouring rain. (Damn background music. It spells misery.)
- Eisaku talks to Ryo. Then Ryo opens up the topic of 11 years ago. He thanks Eisaku for staying alive and well all these years. Eisaku looks bewildered, but finally recognizes Tomoo saying "Kimi wa...". Eisaku laughs and recalls that day. Ryo said something about his mother. (Which I regretfully do not understand. COULD IT BE THAT RYO IS A SERIZAWA?! *gasps* Nah, just me and my wild imagination. We'll know soon enough. Maybe even today? XD) Let me just say that Ryo's controlled but fiery anger was painful to see.
I think Eisaku finally explains that Naoto wanted to tell the truth. That he didn't exactly kill Hideo. Ryo loses it and just declares that it doesn't change the fact that Hideo is dead. Eisaku apologizes sincirely. Ryo grabs his bag and leaves.
- Naoto shows the chief the pictures... his brother's pictures.
- Nii-san packs his bags and leaves. Mari-san stops him, but Nii-san slaps her. (Did she just say that he doesn't love her?!) Mari leaves saying 'Sayonara'.
- Nii-san looks at their wedding pictures, puts it on the table and watches in frozen horror as Kaoru, Naoto and the other detective opens the door. Naoto shows his badge, and they tell him his under arrest with regard to Souda's death. Nii-san asks why him, and Naoto shows the pictures. We see Nii-san being marched away with one of the most blatant 'How could you?!' facial expression.
- Ryo walks silently and flashes back to his conversation with Eisaku. He looks at the church behind him and enters it. (FUCKING AWESOME BACKGROUND MUSIC!)
- Ryo sees Shiori kneeling in front of the statue of Mary. She looks at him and says 'Naruse-san?'. She asks him some more, and asks him to do/stop something. Crying.
- Ryo controls himself.
- Shiori asks him to stop.
- Ryo declares something. WITH TEARS ROLLING FROM ONE EYE.
- Shiori insists that Tomoo-san is a 'yasashi' person.
- Ryo declares that he is NOT Manak Tomoo. Leaves. Crying.
- Shiori runs after him. Asks him. Begs him. ...To stop.
- Ryo declares something and breaks away from her grip, leaving the church in tears.. leaving Shiori in tears.
- The chief finds Naoto crying inside the briefing room. Hands him a red envelope. Naoto takes the envelope, opens it to find 2 cards of Fortune. Signifying that Naoto is his target.
OMG PREVIEW!
It seems like Eisaku will die. And and. OMG. In the preview... it implied that Ryo will stab Naoto same way Hideo was stabbed. OMGOMGOMG!!!
Somehow, I don't know if I should look forward to episode 11 because of the preview, or if I want to delay it a bit just to ensure that there will still be more Maou? It doesn't make sense at all. I don't want Maou to end. orz
I so want the subs now. I am twitching in my seat in anticipation. I want to know what they are talking abouuuuuut! "OTL
