Burns just homered against the Giants! Life is sweet for the A's....but poor Devin! His coach hasn't been playing him at all this season. Infact, he's only been playing Freshmen, while all the sophmores grab some pine. They have lost every single game this season. And so naturally parents have been calling saying "why aren't you playing my son?"

ok just so im clear on this, at some point in there you switched from talking about pro baseball, to talking about college baseball right?

i remember when i played little league, my coach had a talk with us at the beginning of the season. he was like "i want to know how you all feel about this. i can either run this team so that everyone gets to play, or i can run the team so that we win. i want you to choose." and we all chose to win. so i guess thats just how it is some times. although, i guess if theyre losing its not really the same...

yeah...well High School baseball. And this isn't like "every body gets to play or we can win" it's "I'm playing you 9 players and nobody else even if it means we lose every game!"
