Mmmm, that was lovely. They're so very much a part of each other, so inextricably bound to each other during their time working together--it's delightful to see them finally get to where it's time for the more-than-friendship part of their relationship. ;) I enjoyed R'Kal, too, she was a nice counterpoint to what Kirk thought he knew of Vulcan and Vulcans in general.

I really loved writing about Vulcans/Vulcan culture for a while back then (I've got another story posting soon)...I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I had read so many stories over the years with them having firsttimes all throughout the series...so everytime I watched a movie, I'd be inspired by it to create a story that *this* was when they'd finally gotten together! I must have recently watched Generations, and wanted to give Kirk everything he never got in actual canon :-) (Of course, all K/Sers want to do *that*!)

Thank you very much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I just posted the other zine story I wrote, A House of Cedar, so it's online (or read it in BD5. I had some difficulties with coding it properly online, dammit.) I also posted the outtake of Learning Home, Passages, on my journal. I am particularly fond of that bit, actually. I'm excited I thought to clean it up and post it as its own story since it's never seen the light of day before. Isn't the library great?

This was absolutely beautiful and filled with pretty much everything I love in fic; older men, survival and adventure and such wonderful writing that meant I just couldn't stop reading at all! Their passion for each other was just a perfect read. Thank you so much for sharing!
