+ It has been raining for two days now. PLEASE STOP or I shall need a boat next time I dare show my face outside.

You might remember that, as early as February, I bought a
Penguin Deluxe edition of Jane Eyre on a whim (okay, more like to the design of
sixth who had seen these books in her local Cultura bookshop and utterly convinced me I should buy one at least). But let's not get into details, alright. I promptly got it online as I had no means of visiting said bookshop at that time, and when my parcel arrived it was all happiness and joy!
PRETTY RIGHT? Thought so. It is, in fact, infinitely prettier in real life.
Then June came, and the São Paulo trip, and with that the Cultura visits obvs. There were still piles upon piles of them on display and I was like "HUUUUUUUUUUH WHICH ONE DO I GET :B". After a day or two of deliberation, Sense and Sensibility it was.

The
whole collection thus:
VERREH PRETTY YES. SO COLOURFUL AND LIVELY. And, most worringly, oh so tempting.
This is getting somewhere, I promise. Last night I was innocently reading up
an interview with cover book designer, Coralie Bickford-Smith, so imagine my surprise when I found out about
this very Flickr album completely by chance (it was linked in the interview page *g*) and the fact that ... OH SHI--
HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH OH SHUKU
MORE CLOTH-BOUND CLASSICS ARE A-COMIN'. Actually they have just been published, this Monday the 5th! Indeed! There's also another
equally entertaining interview about this second set of books. This is all fine and dandy but let's go down to the capslock, shall we.
FOB WATCHES ON OLIVER TWIST! GARDEN CHAIRS ON EMMA! BEAUTIFULLY HAND-CRAFTED WAVES ON THE ODYSSEY! DOVES ON THE WOMAN IN WHITE! GOLDEN FOLIAGE AND RED CLOTH ON SHAKESPEARE'S SONNETS! PHOENIXES ON LADY CHATTERLEY'S LOVER! PINK SCISSORS AND BROWN CLOTH ON LITTLE WOMEN! AND PINK FLAMINGOS ON ALICE'S ADVENTURES HOMG! I can scarcely say which one is my favourite because they are all so beautiful and clothy and hardcovery goodness! Aaaaah! Maybe it's a good thing they are not available on Cultura YET. I SEKRITLY WANT THEM ALL.
'Tis all very flail-inducing, and seeing as I will not refrain from doing what I wish to do: *FLAILS*. Now Penguin, on your third set of cloth-bound classics, please be a dear and publish North and South too. My (neon green) copy is suffering greatly by being manhandled ;(.
