Here I will write my predictions for Beautiful Monsters. Mainly because I have just reread the series and I want to record my ideas and predictions for the unknown number of books that will be written for the series
1. Matthew is the son of the demon king. That's not so surprising with the demons calling him "Prince" as well: he was 'summoned' by the demon king, Saitenebris; he can speak the demon language; the demon commented that "she" told "them" Matthew was dead, she who has to be Ilertha. Has to be demon spawn as well.
2. Lily and Sam are probably going to meet and hate each other at some point and I am actually really looking forward to that.
3. Matthew is Tarrick's mate. And Tarrick doesn't want to admit it.
4. Devak is Matthew's mate - which probably means he's going to die again. And that is going to kill me.
5. But I reckon there will be a threesome at some point.
6. Malarath is some kind of demon/god in his own right. Or he worships the demon king, as it's been commented that Malarath publicly worships Ilertha but he doesn't really. And that final scene in Broken where he was talking to his demon infested child. Who will be given "Matthew's heir" - I'm guessing that's Lily.
7. I'm hoping that Matthew 'stabbing Sam in the back' doesn't result in her death because that will literally kill me. The idea of Sam dying as a result of Matthew's actions will hurt.
8. Devak is going to fight Prescott again and I hope he kicks his ass.
9. I also hope that at some point we watch the confrontation/reunion of Devak and Malarath. And I am hoping Devak kicks Malarath's ass as well.
10. I also hope Matthew is the one to finally kill Malarath, even though I think it is going to take AAAAGGGGEEEESSSS.
11. Vampires will flock to join - like Ascelina and Gwenyth - and incubi will slowly swap sides but once they realise that Malarath is connected to demons in some way they will also flock to Tarrick.
12. One more of Tarrick's kids is definitely going to die.
13. I'm curious out the four parents thing. I can also only count 3 parents: Mother (Ilertha), Father (Demon king - Saitenebris?), Sire (Lysandros). And the four powers. Incubus, Vampire, Demon-y and what?
14. And Matthew isn't a demigod but the Judge thinks he is? I reckon Matthew's a god. In his own right.
15. Gavyn as a conduit. I reckon a conduit is someone who can conduct magic REALLY well so he's going to help Sam do some powerful shit.
16. Dragons will join the Coalition (which is why I'm calling Tarrick's new society) and eventually will fight as well. Because of Sam.
17. Matthew is going to pull some shit now that he has all his powers and it's going to open the gate to Hell/the Pit.
18. Ilertha is stuck in the Pit.
19. Matthew is going to have to go into the Pit to rescue Ilertha and that's also going to make some shit escalate.
20. I think not everyone will be on Tarrick's/Matthew's/Bryson's side before the fight is over.
21. Titus and Pearl are going to show up at some point and help out, also showing other incubi/vampires that they can work together.
22. Bryson and Silva will get it on. Although that's not that surprising!
23. Rosaline isn't going to switch sides until she finds out that Malarath is demon adjacent. Then she'll immediately join Tarrick and Matthew. Because I reckon demons scare her more than vampires.
24. Telectus has already sided with Tarrick but not publicly. I think he'll either publicly declare for Tarrick soon, or he'll wait for Lily to want to join her father first. But he's definitely on Tarrick's side.
25. Tarrick is going to fight Tarquin. And I reckon Tarquin will beat his father but not want to kill him. And then they'll fight again and Tarrick will win, take his son back to the Coalition's HQ and then show him why he's right.
26. I also think that Prescott knows about Malarath being demon adjacent and will stay with him, and he'll be the last hunter on his side. All other hunters will want to stop the demons and will eventually get over the whole vampire hating thing.
27. Matthew is going to kick some ass putting the vampires against the Coalition down. Like the ones in Russia.
28. Lysandros will show up again at some point. Matthew will fight him again. Not sure if he'll win or not; I'm leaning towards no. And there will be a confrontation between Ilertha and Lysandros at some point too.
And I will cross things off/comment on each prediction as more books come out - I'm also planning on writing new predictions as I think of them. And as I read more. But this is a record of what I was thinking at the time.
