CNN report on the swedish healthcare system

My criticisms let me show you them:

* For some reason  the segment is entitled "the swedish experiment " (WTF? It's basically the same system as in many other european countries, also i fail to see how it's an experiment when we've had it for decades)

* I definitely don't pay over 50% taxes, i do not know ( Read more... )

I definitely don't pay over 50% taxes, i do not know anyone who pays over 50% taxes

I think maybe they're counting arbetsgivaravgifter? If so, taxes would lie somewhere around 50% total. Not that I mind, much. (Only when it's time to pay CSN. *g*)

i definitely don't think the swedish goverment should get involved (it's a privately owned newspaper for fuck sake), but i also do think there should be some limits to free speech

I think if it's at all possible for the Israeli government to sue Aftonbladet for libel they should do so. Also, Aftonbladet's staff should be forced to wear T-shirts that say "Min tidning publicerar Klintbergare." But Bildt is right, this has absolutely nothing to do with the government. Still, he might be a tad more diplomatic about it.

I guess they could count arbetsgivaravgifter but that's not the impression i get from watching the video, oh well.

Sure if they can prove it's libel they should sue, but honestly i don't really know what to believe. I've zero trust in the israeli armed forces (the organ-harvesting sounds like a conspiracy theory but it's not like humans haven't done worse things in wartime after all). I do think it’s beyond a shadow of a doubt that Israel have committed war-crimes in Gaza though (http://www.amnesty.org/en/library/info/MDE15/015/2009/en).

I don't trust them either, but organ-harvesting would require a certain organisation (unlike rape, torture and the like, which can happen on a whim) and be an incredible risk to take - it's almost impossible to explain away. So while I know that, for instance, China harvests the organs of condemned prisoners, this story sounds way too much like someone trying to rile up sentiment.

Yeah, that's a good point.
