No, no, no. The current cycle of the Mayan Long Count Calendar ends in 2012. But that doesn't imply that they thought the world was going to end then, any more than people think that the world will end on December 31st, just because the annual calendar ends then. All that will happen to the Mayan Calendar on that day is that it'll tick over from 12.19.19.17.19 to 13.0.0.0.0.
