So, I'm sitting here, ripping CDs. The intention is to then put this music on my mp3 player.

Right now, I have some Wings ripping.

This particular album I have on CD, recorded directly off my father's vinyl.

I have a whole bunch of CDs like this.

So now I have, for my mp3 player, music with the faintest hint of record static.

I am so awesome.

Sounds awesome. What Wings album is it? I have one from my dad as well.

What did you use to get them from vinyl to CD in the first place? I have somewhere around 30 albums I'd like to move to a portable device..

Actually, he just used a regular turntable with a line into the computer. I'm not sure exactly how he did it, as this was years ago.

And it was "Venus and Mars."
