Yeah, man, these facebook games are getting out of control! lol
i'm sorry to hear about your father. i'll be thinking of him and sending as many good vibes as i can. i hope everything turns out okay.
i feel you on the work situation. it suck because it feels like everybody is unhappy at work, but everybody's so scared about the economy that nobody's leaving and moing around. i hope that the other position comes through. maybe your hubby getting that full time position is a sign of good things to come! :)
Sorry, I just read this now, possum. I hope that things improve re: your dad's health.
I dunno what's up with life, the universe and everything these days; none of my friends are having a good time. For myself, 2010 is just to be gotten through; its the Chinese year of the tiger, and since I was born in a year of the tiger, I've got to lay low and just push on through 'til I hit 'better'. And maybe I was due for some karmic fucktwitery or something...
Sounds like the change in jobs could go a long way towards improving your outlook. The thing that we spend a majority of our waking, adult lives doing is almost as important as who we marry. You have to go with the choice that will bring you the most long-term joy, even if it isn't easy.
Moving to NYC (eventually) sounds epic. I know that you are worried about your dad but its not happening just yet, so let go of that little wrinkle for now. Remember the long-term joy bit. You have a responsibility towards your family but you also have one to your man and yourself as well.
