THIS POST IS ABOUT BOOKS GODDAMN

Jan 05, 2010 23:07

Last year I think the only resolution I made was to read 100 books. If I said anything else, I don't remember. And at this point I don't care.

What I read in 2009 )

books, materialism, music

omggg, how do you find the time to read?! Like, I'm sure I could carve out fifteen minutes a day if I really needed to but like... idk I'm just confused by people who know how to make time for things they want to do. ~TEACH ME YOUR WAYS.~ Just, if I were ever to make one resolution, then reading some insane number of books like ONE HUNDRED would be it. There are so many I want to read, it's painful. ;_;

Are all Waldenbooks stores closing? :(

OH, HAH, I forgot about this E.S. Posthumus thing! *downloads*

It's really quite simple! I go NUTS during breaks. Reading becomes ALL I do. In fact I've already read a couple since January 1st. Then during the semester I space things out and only read the really good ones a little at a time coupled with the required stuff. The graphic novels I add in for variety and a slightly shorter read (it ups the count, giggle giggle).

Ahaha, well that sounds fun, must keep it in mind.

I'm trying to answer the questions in your AWFUL facebook note right now, I just thought you should know how painful it is. >_>

That is a damn big list. I am impressed and slightly chastised for how teensy my own list was by comparison.

I'm sure you've read Maus before, but if you haven't, I can't recommend it enough.

Also, Joscelin Verreuil is my seekrit lovah. Step away slowly and I won't have to maim you.

which sucks cause it's way better than B&N, as least as far as Lake Grove is concerned.

yeah! i read an article about how it'll probably go out of business in the next year or so. i don't know how reliable the source was, but if waldenbooks is any indication they're definitely doing badly. which is weird because they offer better discounts and pricings. maybe their locations are what's screwing them over? hrm
