-chapter one-
I can see the look in your eyes, but I know you’re not looking at me.

-chapter two-
You only look at him; why don’t I deserve your affection?

The zoo was anything but special. It was just a bunch of cages with animals inside; at least this was Heechul’s mindset. He wouldn’t have agreed to come except for the fact that it was Sungmin that had wanted to come. If it were anyone else, he wasn’t sure that he would’ve agreed. He was bored, and he was restless. But Sungmin was having the time of his life, pointing out to every single thing that he could lay his eyes on. “Look at this hyung,” Sungmin’s eyes were wide in wonder. He pointed to a male lion nuzzling his head against a female lion. “They’re in love. Can you see it?” He clapped his hands in delight and intertwined his fingers with Heechul’s. “They’re just like us, aren’t they?” He had a huge grin on his face and looked up at his hyung. “I love you, Heechulie. I don’t ever want to be without you!” The display of affection from the lions made Sungmin so happy that he just wanted to express how he felt. “I really do love you, hyung.” He hugged his hyung and buried his face in Heechul’s chest.
A few hours later, they were still at the zoo. They had visited every enclosure 5 times each and Sungmin wasn‘t showing any signs of fatigue. He didn’t seem very pleased though. “Hyung, you look bored,” said a troubled Sungmin. “You aren’t bored of me, are you?” Worry etched his face. Heechul only laughed and put his arm around his dongsaeng. “I could never be bored of you, Minnie. I like you far too much.” He squeezed him gently. “Have you seen everything that you wanted to see?” Sungmin pouted. “No.” He hadn’t seen everything… he wanted to see Heechul happy, yet here he was trying not to show signs of boredom. “Oh?” Heechul feigned surprise. He expected that Sungmin had enough energy to circle the whole zoo another hundred times. He started to walk. “Come on then, Sungminah~ we still have time to go around the zoo once more before it gets dark.” He walked about ten steps only to realise that Sungmin wasn’t following him. He turned back and saw Sungmin sitting cross-legged on the ground.

“Ya~ Lee Sungmin! The ground is dirty! GET UP FROM THERE.” But Sungmin wouldn’t budge. Heechul tried to pick him up, but his dongsaeng was a lot heavier than he looked. Sungmin looked at him with reproachful eyes. “You’re not as happy as I am when we’re together. Don’t you love me, hyung?” Heechul wasn’t in the mood for Sungmin’s insecurity but he would tolerate it nonetheless. To Heechul’s own disgust, he sat down next to Sungmin on the dirty ground and held his hand. “Sungminah~” he started to say gently. “You know how I feel about you, okay? Don’t doubt me. I just don’t have as much energy as you do so I’m unable to enjoy things more.” He said this slowly and carefully so that his dongsaeng would understand. “Let’s go get something to eat, okay? I’m starving.” Sungmin stayed silent at first, but his grip on his hyung’s hand tightened. He smiled and stood up. “I feel like eating pizza, hyung.”

It was Sungmin’s bright idea to buy dinner for the whole band family. Heechul was against the idea at first (it was going to cost him A LOT!) but Sungmin wouldn’t stop nagging, so he gave in. They brought the pizzas home to the other delighted members. A few teasing comments were made about Heechul’s kind act as they all sat around the table to eat. The other members found it hard to believe that Heechul would do something so nice.

Ryeowook was sitting by himself when he noticed Sungmin and Heechul noisily come back from the zoo. They looked so happy together. He cringed at all the looks Sungmin gave Heechul; he didn’t look at anyone else like that - let alone him. Sungmin had noticed Ryeowook by himself and thought he’d go over and say hello. Before Ryeowook could even blink, a giggling Sungmin had him wrapped in a big cuddle. “Hi Ryeowookah~” Sungmin pecked him on the cheek. “Did you have a good day?” Sungmin beamed. “Come have some pizza!” Before Ryeowook could even think of a reply to Sungmin’s question, he was gone again back to Heechul’s side chatting away without realising how much Ryeowook was pining for him. “He doesn’t see you in that way, Wookie.” Yesung sat down next to him, carefully sipping his cup of coffee. “He only sees Heechul. Just like Heechul only sees Sungmin.” He sighed not unhappily. “I know how you feel Ryeowookah~ I’m pining for lost love too.”
