Sep 23, 2006 21:32

Title: In Memoriam
Pairing: Asami x Akihito
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers: not really
Warnings: slightly sad, slightly hopeful, probably not quite what you're thinking from the title.

Note: This is set a year or two after the Hong Kong arc, and looks into the past and future. It's just an idea I played with.

In Memoriam )

takaba, asami

In my head he married straight out of college to someone he met there. He would still be young and impetuous at that point. *runs from the college student* XDD

"Love made me incapable of protecting what I loved. It is useless. Worse than useless. It is debilitating. It makes you lose all reason, so that you in turn lose what you love. There is no point to it, and every point to avoiding it."
~ This story and this paragraph explains so much about why Asami is the way he is towards everyone, especially Akihito.

~ What a lovely story. I often wondered where Asami came from, what happened in his path to make him the man he is today? I am really glad you wrote this story it gives me and others something to ponder on and a possible answer to some of those questions.

"She laughed a lot. She had to, to put up with me."
~ I really enjoyed this line. This is such a true statement. I can imagine how hard it would be to live with Asami, he with his egotistical and very stubborn self. *hee hee* But all of those traits and more make me ♥Love♥ him even more!!

"One of the most important is that sometimes it's just not your fault. Sometimes there's nothing you can do about it. And when that happens, ( ... )

That's a Christy icon from Asami's birthday last year. I love her icons. Me, I cannot make them. I only made my first wallpaper last night, and it's barely anything lol (it's that pic of Asami and Takaba from NT9, which is one of the most erotic things I've ever seen).

Uh, anyway, this is a thought I've had for a long time, and I decided I didn't want to write a long angsty story about it, so I just did this short one. I think Asami had to learn the lesson that he told Feilong in Kourou no Hana somewhere, that emotions make things difficult, so I made up a reason why.

I really glad you enjoyed this though and think it's an interesting idea. ^_^ Thanks!

Oooohh I know that picture. Your right it is very erotic and I love it as well. I also like the Hotel scene in NT1 when Asami and Takaba are making love. It is right up there with the one you used!

I have made a few simple icons but they are ones I use but not good enough to post for others to use!! *hee hee* Maybe someday?

I would like to see your wallpaper. I am sure it is good. ♥ ♥

Eep OK but it's pretty damned plain and I don't know how to clean stuff up very well...

Another really touching fic. You have such a way with words, able to convey so much feeling. Poor Asami, living under the belief that love equals suffering. But to his darkness he has Akihito to help him see that this is not always the case, that love doesn't have to hurt. Well done and well written.

Thank you. This is why the two of them are the perfect pair for me. Akihito's light compensates for Asami's darkness, and they balance one another.

I loved it. It gives a perspective of Asami that we don't usually see. Realistically this could've happened, after all, no one is born cold-blooded.

Keep up the brilliant work, coolsa.

Thanks! I thought it was a decent explanation for his attitude, given that we know nothing of his past. I agree, he couldn't have been born that way.

Thank you and *hugs*. I had to wonder if Asami had been hurt in the past to make him how he is now, and this was one scenario that stuck in my head. It lets him be more human inside so I like that, especially since that gives the two of them hope.
