Warnings: AU, takes place the night after NT 10, which I conveniently made the eighth anniversary of when Asami was last in town.

Thank you so much. I'm just so tired of Fei letting himself be dragged along by his past. In NT10 I think he's starting to come out of it, and so I'm hoping for a resolution something like this for the three of them. I just don't think it will happen. :( But I'm glad you enjoyed this version of it. :)

My heart clenched at this line. Why do your fics have to be so damn believable!? Gah!!!

"What's so funny?" Asami's voice was soft, and a little strange.

I'm dying to know what was playing in his head at that moment!!! He can't possibly... Gaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!

I love the banter towards the end XD And the statement about Yoh XDD And 3 of my fav pairings are in it ^^ Love love love!

Well, Asami's a bastard at times, but one with a heart, and it's clear to me he's capable of love. And maybe love for more than one person, though he'd never tell either... *runs away*

Oi! *glow* You're the one of those certain few authors whos fics i read for sure! i adore fics about Fei and yours make me feel so warm and happy for him. Thanx for a little piece of happiness. And bwt for me this fic seems to have a sequel ;)

Thank you. :) I really want Fei to end up happy, so I tried to put that into this story.

I hadn't thought of a sequel, but now that you mention it, I can see a few things that might work... :)

Ahahaha. I love Fei here. For a while he seem much more mature than Asami.

Once again, a wonderful piece of work. It's always a pleasure reading you stories. may you continue to make more of them. :D

Thank you! I wanted to show him as being more mature than Asami in some ways. Feilong has always been emotional, even when cold and angry, so I think that he is further ahead than Asami when it comes to such things. :) (though probably not from the Japanese POV ^^;)

Thank you! I've always felt that sense of futility in Feilong's behavior, and was happy to put it to rest here. It seems that he may be on the verge of doing it himself in the manga, and I'll be so glad to see it if that's true. He's wasted too much time being obsessed with Asami and the past. He should get that scar removed from his chest, and get on with life. He'd be much happier.
