Your Asamis always make me want to know more about his background and what made him that way. *shudders* Deliciously dark and chilling. I'm glad he saw how Kirishima meant to help him and thought of their relationship as being like a friendship. I hope Akihito can keep him grounded.
Thanks. My Asamis do have varied backgrounds since his personality can play out so many different ways. I thought about him here quite a bit. He is quite scary in this one, akin to some psychiatrists or scientists I've known. I did pull on the novelization for him this time, as I tend to do when I want a slightly psycho version of him.
But he begins and ends with Akihito, so for me he will always remain grounded (so long as Akihito is in the fic^^).
Oh my g..! And that last sentence, 'finally warm' actually opens up the real gulfs, the ones leading to the whys of asami himself. Possibly. Perhaps. I feel quite shaken, thank you, I'm glad it was the revised version
That was - terrifying. I kind of glad I missed the original post, and a the same time I almost wish I'd seen it. Asami is one scary individual, and this version was definitely enough to chill me through to the bone. Thank you so much for the hopeful ending. It tempers the blow.
Thanks. I had to end it that way, just because I couldn't dealt with something so bleak after writing the original. I didn't actually post the original. I was writing it and was about two thirds of the way through and I was getting physically ill and very upset for the nameless victim. I just had to stop.

Yeah the uncut version was bad. I was getting nauseous letting it play out the way it had to.
