Bumbo seat - yay or nay?

bookpixie and cifarelli, did you use one of these and would you recommend it? Is it worth it? I am considering looking for one at a second hand shop this weekend.. Meghan's not quite ready for it yet, but we're not too far off I think.. Any other good visual toy recommendations for this age? I'm going to pick up some new hangy toys this weekend for some visual

I'll bring you ours when I visit you next week. Don't go buy one. :)

We got one for Corwin, but he hated it. He didn't like that he couldn't move his legs when sitting in it, so it got used very very little. However, all feedback I've heard from other folks has been very positive, so I suspect Corwin may have just been an oddball.

I'd like it back when Meghan's done with it in case our child #2 likes it better (but don't worry....Meghan will be done long before child #2 puts in an appearance, considering that we're not even trying yet).

Sorry for the spam comments...Corwin is being distracting today. :)

I don't know if Meghan is in her crib yet, but we got Corwin this crib mirror shortly after we transitioned him into his crib around 3 months. That was a big hit. It's still in his crib now, but I don't know if he's actually using it any more. I can try taking it out and see if he cares; if not I can bring that to you when I visit also.

Thanks!! Hopefully she'll like it.. she's still not crazy about her bouncy chair which I thought she'd like since it lets her sit up more.. I guess we'll see! I have a mirror.. similar to the one you have.. and today we picked up a set of hangy toys that I hope she likes.. we also got a cool moose for her car seat. I'm glad we went in to the store cuz I saw the same ones online and they looked much smaller online..

Connor really enjoyed the bumbo, but he was also pretty huge.
