I never NEEDED that SSDI.  I dont wanna go back home and lie on that hard little bed!   It makes my back hurt!   Or...   My shoulder cuz I lay on my side.

I'm too old to go back to work on a roof now!   I'd still try it if I could find the chance.   Havent had any luck finding other work.  :(

I cant ever return to my job on a roof.  I'm too old now!  Roofing is hard work and I've only done two roofs in the last 25 years!  I COULD HAVE gone back to work in my 30's.  But that wasn't permitted.   And now its too late.  I'm stuck with this minimal income for the rest of my life.   And I don't want to live like this!   My life is over.  I'm ( Read more... )

And we did.  I explained to her about my injury.  And about my disability.  And I think that went well.   We have found a new respect for each other.  Then I told her that I always wanted to go back to my career of roofing houses.  But I wasn't permitted to.  I was forced to go on disability instead.
