Rhys didn't think too much of the howling that rose up around campus grounds. I mean, he noticed them for sure, but didn't find it too out of place, and therefore went about his business as usual
( ... )
Amaterasu had only recently begun her search. The man wearing blue seemed to understand her goal, but he couldn't assist her. Maybe someone else could.
For the time being she decided to rest her paws, so she lay down on the grass. It looked to be a nice day, even without her intervention. It felt nice, not having to be responsible for the world.... but the same time, she felt restless.
As she looked around, her inky eyes fell upon a man in white who had, in turn, been observing her. She barked a greeting to him.
Ah, she barked... Should it be meant to ward him off? Rhys wasn't sure. Instead of shying away, he tried to smile in hopes it would make him look like less of a threat, if he even looked like one in the first place.
"Um, hello," he managed, even if he might have been out of earshot. "My, what a big wolf you are... Wait! Is your back on fire?!"
EGASP!!! Someone better fetch a bucket cuz this dogg's on FIAREE...! This could turn out to be quite the problem! How was she even okay? He chose not to question it, and subsequently following, not to panic too much. If she wasn't in pain, then, well... no worries here! Kind of. (watch out for that tree) He cooled off instantly.
"Nevermind, you... seem okay with this. Haha, and here I go prattling on when I'm not even sure if you understand a word of what I'm saying yet! Oh well. I talk to myself sometimes when I'm alone, so I guess this is comparatively less embarrassing..."
Amaterasu looked on. He certainly was a talkative man, wasn't he? Ah well, she'd had worse. Upon his last statement the wolf shook her head. It didn't really bother her. Chattiness was sometimes more welcome compared to silence.
A disgruntled, puffy looking white chicken who seemed to think she was much bigger and more intimidating than she actually was, trotting around like she owned the place.]
[Oh hey, Ammy had experience with chickens. They liked seeds, right? And she still had some feedbags left over. The wolf slowly creeped up to the chicken, knowing that they were easily startled.]
[Despite her efforts, Samus the chicken was still startled when she became aware that she had a creeper on her tail. It was a white wolf with a black-tipped tail. There was something... slightly unnatural about it but she couldn't put a finger (or talon, rather) on it. She ceased trying to figure it out and worried more if the wolf was going to try and make a snack out of her or not.
The chicken stood straight and stuck her chest out, fluffing up a little as if to say go ahead and dare.]
Drawn to the daylight bays, Pit followed her occasional sounds until he could spy from his tree bough a great wolf with snowy fur that and flames rising from her back. She was no ordinary wolf, that's for sure! Something about her was more noble, almost godlike, in a sense, if that made sense. After some initial staring, the angel chose to come down from his perch and make his advance.
He took careful but bold steps so as not to startle or possibly offend her, or anything else that might get a bad reaction from her. His curiosity was filled to the brim.
By this time, Amaterasu had found who she was looking for, and the paper was no longer in her mouth. Now, she just roamed the grounds, acquainting herself with her new surroundings.
Someone appeared nearby, and she took a more guarded stance as she looked over to see who it was.
That guarded stance changed into one of surprise, and a bit of... sadness? This boy resembled a Celestial, but they were all... Hm. No matter. Maybe he was similar, though? At any rate, she was very curious about him, and whined softly.
At the whine he stopped and stayed planted where he was not far away from her, but granting enough space so that there could be room for comfort. He didn't make that decision consciously. The great big dog seemed... agitated? Maybe she was just confused or wasn't sure what to make of him? Well, now would be a good time to assure her that he wasn't a threat!
"It's okay, you don't need to be worried," he told her calmly. "I don't mean any harm."
Amaterasu whined again, but it wasn't a fearful whine. Yeah, the majority of people she encountered were that way (except for that one guy with the devil-dog, what was HIS deal). The winged boy was free to approach her (she'd do so herself, but it was now late in the day and she felt as though she should rest her paws soon.)

... no, she took some birdseed out of somewhere and emptied the bag into the hole she created. Well, uh. At least Ammy was considerate?]
