Summary: "I saw him. I swear I saw him. And he saw me. But no one else saw him and when I blinked he was gone. Like the smoke from my cigarette, he disappeared into the air. I'm afraid. I'm probably losing my mind and going crazy but I'm curious. He wasn't just someone I imagined, he is real."
A/N: The only thing this fic has common with Twilight is the word 'twilight' in the name! So even if you don't like the Twilight-saga, you can read this ;D  And everything Leeteuk has written is white and what Heechul has written is gray.

Heechul…

Heechul's eyes sprang wide open. He heard someone's, actually he knew it was Hangeng's, voice inside his head! And the source of the voice was not far away from him.

He sat up quickly, only to hit his head to the top of his coffin. Revealing his fangs with an angry hiss he slowly lowered himself back and rested his head to the small pillow he had under his head. Usually the top would have flown away but not now.

"You should know already not to piss me off." Heechul heard Hangeng's voice through the top of his wooden coffin. Heechul cursed his luck: of course Hangeng was sitting on his coffin! That way he couldn't get out without breaking his coffin and that was something he would never do. He loved his black coffin that was covered with dark red velvet on the inside.

"And you haven't taught your newbie as well as I thought you would." Hangeng added. Heechul's eyes widened in fear.

"What have you done to him?!" His voice wasn't as loud as he wanted it to be but now he was really considering breaking his coffin. If Hangeng had done something to Teukie he would…

"Calm down. No need to break your dear coffin." Hangeng said, almost laughing. At the same time Heechul saw a picture of Leeteuk laying peacefully in his own coffin. As Heechul looked at the picture inside his head he realized it was Hangeng's memory that he had sent to the elder vampire. "You see, he's sleeping…" Hangeng said, probably smiling, but there was a hint of something evil, something that Heechul didn't like.

Then he saw the next picture. Hangeng's hand was on Leeteuk's throat and the younger's eyes were wide open and the look in them was full of fear and terror.

"...peacefully." Hangeng finished. Heechul tried hard to calm his anger. Sure he loved Hangeng and he knew what he could do but Leeteuk was his everything now. Hangeng was a part of his past, not present.

"What do you want?" Heechul spit through his teeth as he clenched his fingers into fists so hard that they were trembling.

"I came here to remind you not to mess with me." Hangeng said as he slowly dragged his nails along the beautifully shining wood of Heechul's coffin. Heechul gritted his teeth. "And you should have taught your newborn better. He'll get into big trouble if he keeps on talking like that about elder vampires."

Heechul's whole body stiffed as Hangeng spoke. "You felt it?" Heechul asked in disbelief. Is Hangeng that old already?

"Hell yes I felt it. It hit me so hard I lost my meal and I had to find another idiot." Hangeng snarled. Heechul couldn't blame him about being angry, though. He knew damn well how much losing a victim hurt a vampire's self-confidence and pride. Once he had gotten so mad that he had thorn half of a small town apart and killed everyone he saw.

"But now that I've told you all this I think it's time for me to go. I don't know when your baby will wake up but I think it'll take a little while." Hangeng said with a chuckle. Then he was gone. Heechul could hear the wind as the younger vampire ran away. He sighed in relief as he pushed the top of his coffin open and sat up in the darkness. After he had stretched his arm and clicked his neck he got up. He needed to check on Leeteuk and see if he was OK.

He found Leeteuk in his coffin, sleeping. Or actually he was passed out but he looked like he was sleeping. Heechul kneeled down next to the coffin and turned Leeteuk's head a little, checking if there were any serious injuries. Fortunately there were only three longish cuts on Leeteuk's throat that were already healing with inhuman speed.

After Heechul had looked at Leeteuk's beautiful face a good while he decided to do something reasonable as he waited for Leeteuk to wake up. He went upstairs and left the door to the basement open so that he could hear when Leeteuk started moving. He walked straight to the living room, sat on the couch and opened  the laptop. He quickly read what Leeteuk had written last night before he started writing his own part.

That night I woke up before the sun had even settled, which was really unusual for me. It was always already dark when I woke up and I liked it that way since I needed my beauty sleep. I cursed my luck as I had to wait a long 30 minutes before I could even consider going out.

After I got out I did my new night walk routine: first Kangin's house, then the alley. If I didn't find my angelic-faced human there I went to hunt  and then went to his own apartment. That night he wasn't anywhere. I went through all the possible places he could be and ended up going to Kangin's apartment and then to the alley again. Neither of them, Kangin or Angel, was there but I had all night to wait for them.

Finally, after couple of hours waiting, I heard two people coming into the alley. I peeked out from behind the rubbish bin to see who they were.

At first I saw only Kangin. He seemed to be drunk as hell or he was just as high as he could get. I didn't really care but I didn't like it when he was with my Angel. But this time he wasn't with Angel. He was with some guy I had never seen before. The guy had black hair and cross earrings that shone a little in the dim light.

I furrowed my eyebrows. I had never seen Kangin in the alley with someone else than his boyfriend. I became even more suspicious when Kangin started to approach the other man until the other's back hit the wall. But Kangin didn't stop there, just kept on walking until his body was pressed flush against the black haired man's. And then Kangin kissed him, fully on the lips, and I was damn sure there were tongues involved.

I felt anger exploding in my mind. How did he dare to kiss someone else when he had the perfect angel who he could kiss whenever he wanted?!

"Heechul, don't do anything reckless. " I heard Hangeng's quiet voice right next to me. I must admit he had perfect timing. If he had been there only one second later I would have jumped into the alley and ripped Kangin into pieces. I was really mad at him! I couldn't understand how he could do something like that to my dear angel.

"Why? Why can't I just go and rip his head off!?" I hissed.

"You would regret it later. Besides-" Hangeng paused. "He saw them already." I snapped my eyes from Kangin and the other man and glared at Hangeng.

"What are you saying?"

"I saw him running away. And I believe he was crying." Hangeng said simply. "I've always wondered why mortals are so… fragile." He added, more to himself than me.

I ignored his last sentence as I shot a final glare to Kangin and the other man before I jumped on the rubbish bin and then to the roof. I didn't care how noisy I was. I knew it had made a loud bang as I jumped on the bin but I just could care less. I heard Hangeng cursing at me and if the situation was different I would have laughed at him, but not now.
I didn't know where the angelic-faced man was. I tried to find the highest building so that I could scan the ground for him. And I succeeded. I saw him running towards the bridge crossing the Han-river.

I jumped from roof to roof, trying to keep him in my sight. But then I underestimated the gap between two houses and fell on a rubbish bin. I hurt my left arm and cursed when blood started to flow but I didn't have time to stop so that the wound would heal. I kept on running in the direction I had seen him going, but I couldn't see him anymore. I tried to look around but I didn't see him anywhere. People around me were all acting normally, no one looked like someone had bumped into them or something like that. I was starting to panic and cursed out loud.

"Look! Someone's going to jump from the bridge!" Someone yelled suddenly. I turned to look at the man before I slowly turned my gaze to the bridge. And I saw what I definitely did not want to see. My Angel was standing on the edge of the bridge, looking down at the river.

What the fuck am I doing here!? And what the hell does he think he's doing!?

I tried to think clearly about what to do. If I jumped to the nearest roof people would go crazy. And if I ran pass them with my normal speed they would get crazy as well. But if I just walked or ran with human speed my Angel would jump.

Oh, fuck the mortals! I cursed as I started running as fast as I could. People were screaming and trying to understand what was happening but I didn't bother myself with that.

The street took me to a little dock. I looked up to see if he was still there, and fortunately he was. But I didn't know how long I would be able to see him there.

Keeping my eyes on him I started to run again. I could see every single tear on his cheeks, every shaky breathe he took and every single move he made. My breath hitched every time he moved his feet a little closer to the edge.

As I stepped onto the bridge he let himself fall. I was only about 4 steps away from him but I couldn't reach him before he started to fall. I didn't hesitate at all when I jumped right after him but no matter what I did he fell to the water before me.

I dived into the cold water and tried to look for him. The river stream was forceful and it took me with it. I didn't try to fight against it, though, because I knew it had taken my Angel too.

And then I saw him. He had stuck to a snag and his leg was between the snag and a branch. I began swimming towards him, which was damn hard because of the stream and the wound, that had healed pretty well already, but it still hurt a bit too much to be totally ignored. I managed to get to him quite fast, though, thanks to my inhuman strength.

I managed to get him to the surface in no time but I didn't know how long we had been under the water. I pulled him to the bank and laid him on his back. He wasn't breathing. Fear of losing him grew inside me as I started CPR.

I managed to feel the pulse after a long while. I was screaming in happiness inside but I didn't want to bring my hopes up too high. I knew he could have brain damages or some other injures that I couldn't see.

I looked around me, trying to locate where we were. The forest before me looked just like all the other forests so I had no idea where I was. Sighing I stood up and took the Angel in my arms and begun walking towards the forest. At least people couldn't see if I started running in there.

Heechul lifted his gaze from the screen as he listened if there were any sounds in the house. He hoped Leeteuk would wake up soon but there was nothing he could do to help him right now. He knew Leeteuk needed his time to heal the cuts on his throat and it took him a while to get his blood flowing again.

I lifted him up gently. At least I tried to be gently. I knew I wouldn't be able to control myself if Angel didn't make it. But at the moment all I could do was get him to safety. I didn't run at first because I was too afraid that something would happen to him. But when I heard his heartbeat  getting slower I had to start running as fast as a vampire could.

I was totally surprised when I recognized the forest. I knew my cave wasn't that far away. Only half a minute later I was at the cave. Before I went in I checked on the angelic faced human and then looked up to the sky. It was still pitch black. Then I went in, still carrying him in my arms.

I laid him down on the ground. I had no idea what I should do next. There, in the small cave, I could hear his heart beat even though I wasn’t sitting right next to him. In fact, I was leaning on the stone wall on the opposite side of the cave. I was horrified and I was panicking.

I didn't want to go near him because I wasn't sure if I could control myself. He had gotten a few cuts when I had run through the forest and they were bleeding. The sweet smell of blood filled the cave and it filled my senses but in that panicked mind of mine the smell wasn't that tempting. I couldn't think about the fresh blood that was running from the small cuts my Angel had gotten. I was way too shaken.

"Heechul?" My head snapped towards the doorway of the cave as I heard Hangeng's voice calling me. "Chul, are you here?" And then he jumped into the cave. It took him a while to realize where I was and who was lying on the ground. He looked at my Angel's body for a moment without saying a word. I didn't know what to say, I knew he thought I was insane. If I'd been sane I wouldn't have taken the human to my little cave without biting him. I let myself slide down the stone wall so that I was sitting on the ground with my arms around my legs.

"Is he still alive?" Hangeng asked quietly. He slowly turned to me and if I wasn’t so upset about everything I would have jumped on him and done something I'd have regretted afterwards, something I couldn't take back afterwards. His eyes were dark red and he seemed to be struggling to keep his fangs from showing. He was much younger than me and the smell of the blood was overwhelming his mind. He didn't have as good hearing as I had either so he couldn't hear the weak heartbeats that were filling my head at the moment.

"Barely." I said shortly.

"You should-" He paused and glanced over his shoulder to at the my beautiful human. "You should take him to the hospital."

"I-" I couldn't finish what I was saying before Hangeng suddenly jumped out of the cave and he was gone. The smell had gotten unbearable for him and he couldn't risk the human's nor his own life. He knew well enough not to touch my Angel, only because he was mine.

I thought about his words, actually they kept yelling at me in my head. I didn't want to think about the right thing I was supposed to do. I didn't want to take him to the hospital even when I knew it was the best choice. Kangin would go there as soon as he heard his boyfriend had jumped down from the bridge. I knew the police would be searching his body and it'd be all over the news. People just couldn't keep their mouths shut. And I didn't want to even think about Kangin being near my Angel.

Slowly I stood up from where I was sitting and walked over to my pretty human. I kneeled down next to him, looking at his beautiful face, his lips, his nose, his beautifully round but sharp cheeks and his closed eyes that I wanted to see open.

The thought of taking him to the hospital kept on banging inside my head but there was this other choice that I knew I'd do rather than taking him to the hospital where Kangin could find him. I hoped I wouldn't regret it later but at the moment I felt terrible because of the ghost feeling that told me I was regretting it already.

After I had created Hangeng I had promised myself I would never do it again. I had hated my own vampire life right from the beginning and Hangeng had been no option. He was still carrying hatred towards me for changing him but at the same time we both still loved each other.

My Angel's heartbeat got weaker with every beat. I knew I should hurry with whatever I was about to do. And then there was a pause. My eyes widened in fear but then I heard a weak beating starting again which relaxed me a bit. But the pause had been the sign for me to make a decision, fast.

And then I did it. I leaned forward until I my nose touched the skin of his neck. I could feel the blood moving slowly, weakly, in the vein right beneath my nose. I let the smell of the blood fill my nose and my fangs show before I bit down on the soft skin.

The blood flowed into my mouth in a steady pace. The taste of it was incredible despite the fact that the human was about to die. I could see his whole life passing inside my mind as I drank. I saw his childhood, how he was bullied in high school, how he met Kangin and how Kangin had given him his nickname, Leeteuk, that I fell in love with, no matter that it was given by the person I hated the most. I kept my ears open and listening to his heartbeat and the flowing of his blood getting even slower. I couldn't help closing my eyes, though, and enjoying the taste of the blood flowing down my throat, and when I realized I had almost drunk too much from him already I had to rip myself from his throat.

A few drops of blood came from the cuts on his neck but I barely noticed it as I bit down on my wrist, making an ugly cut, and pressing it against Leeteuk's lips. My blood was warm, I could feel it flowing down on my skin, but right now I couldn’t enjoy the warm feeling that I got from drinking fresh blood like I usually did.

Leeteuk's eyes shot open when the first drops of my blood flowed down his throat. His eyes were gray, almost white, and his expression was blank. I couldn't remember how it felt when the first changes started but I knew what was happening.

I pressed my wrist more firmly against his lips and let the blood flow into his mouth. Then he did what I had been waiting for him to do: his hands grabbed my wrist with a force that was much bigger than my own and sucked the blood with a speed that was about to make me black out. I hissed in pain but tried to let him drink even though my body and mind told me to do something, to save my own life.

My vision started to swim and I felt really weak but he wasn't finished. The grip on my wrist was tight as hell and it hurt more than anything in my life and I thought he was about to break my bones if he didn't let go soon. He didn't seem to mind though.

"E-enough!" I screamed roughly. My vision was starting to get darker and I knew he'd drink me dry in any moment. With the last drops of self control and force in my muscles I yanked myself away from him. I felt my arm cracking and the pain that was even more unbearable that before shot through my mind. He really broke my bones!

I pulled myself up against the stone wall, holding my broken hand. As soon as I had ripped my wrist from his mouth he had flipped over, on all fours, and was coughing the blood from his throat. He couldn't spit long before the pain hit him. I had felt that pain a long time ago and I had seen it a few ten years ago when I had been watching Hangeng suffer. I knew all I could do was watch.

Leeteuk fell on his side with his legs pressed against his chest. His eyes were squished shut tightly and his face was twisted in pain. He didn’t scream, yet.

I looked away from him when his body straightened and he turned on his back. A scream broke through the air in the cave. I didn't want to look him suffering. I was sure I'd regret what I did at the moment I looked at him suffering  but there was nothing I could do to block out his screams of pain.

He kept on screaming and spasm for a long while. All I could do was either watch him or my arm that was still hurting like hell but the bones were healing quickly. Then there was no screaming anymore, no sound of Leeteuk rolling on the ground and groaning in pain. I looked up at him. He was laying on his back, panting a little and keeping his eyes closed.

I waited for him to do something. I was pretty sure he knew he wasn’t alone and who he was with. I gave him time to collect his thoughts again. Slowly he opened his mouth and spoke in a voice that seemed to scare the hell out of him himself.

"What-" He stopped and I could see his every muscle stiffen.

"You died. But you are alive." I said. The word he had said had been exactly the same I had said in the beginning of my new life. And my answer was the same I had gotten. "Open your eyes."

I got up from the ground and walked towards him. I knew better than to go too close because newborns were impossible to read. They could do anything. Hangeng had almost killed me when the pain had subsided and he had been able to stand on his own.

Leeteuk didn't open his eyes and I was starting to get impatient. "Open you eyes." I told him again, more harshly this time. And then he slowly opened them. His beautiful, bright red eyes, looked up at the ceiling before they snapped towards me.

"What did you do to me?" Leeteuk asked hoarsely. His eyes were so beautiful, I had never seen such beautiful eyes, that it took me a while to understand what that he had said. "What did you do to me?" Leeteuk repeated his question as he stared at me without any kind of an expression. His voice was now the only thing I could concentrate on. His voice was even more beautiful than his eyes. It was like an angel's whisper even though his voice was still rough and hoarse.

"I can't explain it." I finally answered his question. His empty and blank expression changed and pure confusion shone on his now much paler face. "But I can show you." I said and it seemed to only increase his confusion. He definitely had no idea what was going on.

I stood up and quickly looked down at my arm that had almost healed by now. There was only a little scratch left on my white skin. I decided to ignore the little dizziness, from losing too much blood, as I knew I'd hunt soon with Leeteuk, for the very first time, and it'd make me feel better again. I knew I'd teach him how to hunt and what to hunt even though I knew it was hard for him to control his hunger so it made the ignoring of the dizziness even easier.

"Get up, my pretty angel." I said and offered him my hand that hadn't been broken by my new-born. He looked at it and hesitantly took a hold of it. I let him pull himself up and test his new powers. It was important for him to know his new powers and the best way to make him realize them was to make him do something himself, like pulling himself up from the ground. His eyes went wide but he said nothing as he was standing faster than he had ever been able to.
I didn't say anything as I walked out of the cave. The first thing I checked was the sky. It was still dark as I looked at the stars above my head I knew we had only a little more than an hour. Leeteuk wouldn't be able to be out as long as I and he had to be extremely careful with the sun during his first months.

Leeteuk came out right after me, looking frantically around. He followed right after me as I started walking towards the city. Neither of us said anything, we just walked. I knew I had to tell him about everything I knew but at the moment I thought it'd be better for him to experience the new things himself. I'd be there to help him, of course, and giving him instructions every time he needed.

We were almost at the side of the forest, near Kangin's apartment, when Leeteuk finally broke the silence between us. "Could you…" He paused and I stopped, turning to face him. "Could you at least tell me who you are?"

I grinned. "Heechul." I answered. He looked at me questioningly and my grin only widened. "You want to know more, don't you?"

"Yes, I do." He said bluntly. "What are you? And what did you do to me?"

"Didn't you guess already what I did and what you became?" I asked. There was this alien feeling in my mind that told me to play with him, to tease him, and because it was in my mind I couldn't help to do so.

"I have a hunch but it doesn't make any sense." Leeteuk said. His voice was full of annoyance by now and he frowned a little.

"Well, then I think there is nothing I need to explain." I tried to hide my grin that widened with every second I looked at Leeteuk's face, his expression and eyes. I already turned around as he took a firm hold, too firm hold actually, of my shoulder and stopped me.

"You didn't answer me." He growled. I watched at his mouth, his lips, as he spoke and I could see a flash of his new fangs. I smiled again.

"Then what do you think you are now? You are feeling a hunger you have never felt before. You see the world differently. Everything looks new and unbelievable. You can't control your body and your powers, seeing as you almost sprained my shoulder."

He didn't seem to understand my words. I'm pretty sure he had noticed all what I had just said but he didn't understand why.

"The first thing we are going to do is we are going to ease your hunger." I told him, pushed his hand from my shoulder and turned around again. He didn't try to stop me anymore and just walked right behind me until we came to the road going right by the side of the forest. I heard his movements getting slower and finally stopping when we were right next to Kangin's home building and when I turned around I saw him looking at the window of Kangin's bedroom.

"You followed me." He said quietly without looking at me. I frowned a little, unsure of what he meant by saying that. But there was no point to deny it.

"I did." He didn't say anything anymore, just kept on looking at the window. I found myself wondering if he was hoping to see Kangin there but then the anger that I felt towards Kangin filled my mind and I forced myself to think about something else. And that 'something else' was Leeteuk.

"We should go before it's too late." I said. "You must eat."

~~~
We came to the dirty side of the city, where I knew it would be easy to hunt. I stopped walking and looked around making sure it was safe enough for us to hunt. There were not much people around, only some drunks and junkies laying on the street. I looked at Leeteuk standing behind my back and unfortunately the smell of fresh blood and warm human bodies had already made their ways to his senses. His eyes were growing darker all the time and he was clearly fighting with himself not to jump on the humans and drink them dry then and there.
"Leeteuk, you need to listen to me carefully." I told him. He didn't seem to really hear or understand what I was saying but after a while he turned his dark red eyes to me. "You have to control yourself. You cannot drink from random people. I will explain it to you later but now you have to concentrate." I spoke slowly and clearly, making sure he understood every single word I said.
"You have to listen to their minds, look into their souls, before you can choose your victim. You are not allowed to drink from anyone with a pure soul." His eyes, even though they were almost black by now, showed a little hesitance before he slowly nodded. I followed his movements all the time and stood maybe a bit too close to him to make sure I would be able to catch him if he suddenly lost control.
"Can you hear them? Can you hear what they have done wrong?" I whispered into his ear. Only later I realized how dangerous it was but fortunately he didn’t do anything to hurt me. He had the powers, the powers of the newborns, that I didn't have anymore and if he had suddenly snapped at me I wouldn't have been standing there any longer. I looked at his face, how his expression changed from confused to concentrated. I heard the screams of those human souls. I could hear every bad move they had made, their every mistake and every single thing that had ruined their innocent souls.
Apparently Leeteuk didn't hear it. At least not yet. He looked straight into my eyes after a good while, looking confused again.
"I can't hear anything." He said. I barely heard his voice.
"It's all right. Not everyone can hear it right after their birth." I answered him. It seemed to calm him down a little bit. In fact I wasn't even surprised he couldn't hear the voices like I did.
I was a miracle child. That's what my creator had told me when he had captured me. At first I had just been his blood slave and he had kept me in a little cage since I had been 18 years old. He had abused my body sexually, drank my blood and kept me barely alive. Almost ten years he kept me locked in his dirty shaggy until I turned 28. That night he lost his self control and almost finished me. For some unknown reason he changed me.
I had heard every voice of human souls as soon as I had been born again. My skin had been warm like a human body and my eyes had been green, unlike any other vampire's eyes. That changed in a few months though. My skin became cold and pale as my eyes turned red. My creator's miracle child was gone. I had become an ordinary vampire that he was too. He didn't think I was worth of being with anymore. I still don't know why he killed himself and not me.
Heechul couldn't help scoffing at the memory of his creator. He had really hated that man. The vampire had been old and crazy. He had stolen Heechul's life and then turned him into the hungry immortal that he was now. He hadn't taught Heechul even the basic things of being a vampire before he had killed himself which means Heechul had had to learn everything himself.
He had succeeded in it though. Otherwise he wouldn't be sitting on that white couch, writing his and Leeteuk's story.
Heechul was about to start writing again when he heard a hoarse whimper from downstairs. He almost threw the laptop on the floor as he jumped up and ran to the door that he had left open. He stopped there before walking down the stairs into the darkness. He hadn't turned the lights on and he didn't want to scare Leeteuk who had just gone through rough treatment from Hangeng.
"Leeteuk, are you awake?" He asked quietly. There was no need for him to speak loudly. If Leeteuk was awake he'd hear him.
Leeteuk cleared his throat. "I am." There was a deep sigh and a little rustle of the fabric of Leeteuk's coffin as he sat up. Heechul walked to him and kneeled down next to the coffin so that he could look Leeteuk in the eye. The younger vampire had his hand on his neck and his eyes were wide open, like he'd seen a ghost.
"Are you all right?" Heechul asked and slowly reached for Leeteuk's hand and pulled it away from his neck, checking if the cuts had healed -they were gone. The younger vampire nodded and swallowed with much difficulty. "Are you hungry?" Heechul asked, not missing any movement Leeteuk made.
"No, I'm fine. A bit tired maybe." Leeteuk said without looking at Heechul.
Heechul laughed a little. "You're such a bad liar. You need blood if you want to be able to even stand properly." He said. Leeteuk's skin was paler than ever. He hadn't drunk well enough last night to survive without a victim over the night. And Heechul wasn't going to take the risk of Leeteuk getting too weak. "Get up, now." He ordered and stood up, holding his hand out for Leeteuk to take a hold of.
