PART B
Donghae had just pushed his both hyungs out of the house. When they had come it was already 11AM and now it was almost 1:30PM. So Hyukjae should be there soon.
"Did they leave already?" His mom asked from the living room when he was about to go to his room. He needed to find his biology book which he had lost even though it was only yesterday when he had had it at school.
"Yeah... I need to do something for school." Shit! Now I told her...! Donghae regret his words right after they had slipped out of his mouth. She looked away from the crossword she had on her lap and looked at Donghae with quite suspicious look in her eyes.
"You're going to do something for school? On Saturday?" She asked and when she put it that way, it really sounded unbelievable and nothing Donghae usually did on Saturdays.
"Well... we have to do a project to biology and one of my classmates is coming over. We're doing it together." He stuttered with a low voice, but she heard it well enough.
"Donghae, are you sick? First you tell me you're going to joy to the dance club and now you're doing school works on weekend?"
Donghae could only nod and run to his room before she could say anything else. He closed the door and leaned his back to it, sighing and shaking his head. Am I really sick?
He walked over to his desk and opened the drawer of it, searching for his book. It wasn't there. In frustration he slammed the drawer shut and jumped on his bed. He definitely was not on the mood to do school work!
He didn't have much time to think of where he had put the book before the door bell rang. He didn't bother to get up since he knew his mom would open the door. And he knew already that it was Hyukjae coming.
"Annyeonghaseyo. I'm Lee Hyukjae. I'm looking for Donghae." Donghae heard from the corridor. He didn't hear what his mom said but knew she told him to come in. And soon there was a silent knock on his door.
"Donghae, Lee Hyukjae is here." His mom said and opened the door for Hyukjae. "He's there. Make yourself at home." She smiled to Hyukjae, who nodded and stepped into the room.
"You're early." Donghae stated shortly. He still didn't bother to get up.
"Actually it's exactly 2PM now..." Hyukjae said a bit awkwardly. Donghae took a deep breath and sat up before turning to take a look at his so called partner. He was wearing very casual clothes: blue button up shirt and skinny jeans, which highlighted his long legs and slim body.
"Oh..." Donghae said. He didn't know if he said it to the sight he saw or the fact that Hyukjae was right on time.
"Well, shall we start?" Hyukjae asked and smiled brightly as he put his bag to the floor, right next to Donghae's desk and sat to the chair.
"I guess..." Donghae mumbled but didn't do anything to get things started.
Hyukjae looked at him for a moment before he bent down to take something out of his bag. "I thought it's better if we do in on paper and not on computer since I'm not good with computers at all. I hope it's OK to you?" He looked up at Donghae, who only nodded, blank expression on his face. "And my sister wanted to draw something to it. I guess it's fine as well." He said and pulled up his biology book.
Donghae moved his eyes from Hyukjae's face to the book he was holding on his lap. Between the pages were millions of papers and marks. It was totally opposite to Donghae's book, which looked like new.
"It's okay... But how are we gonna do it?" Donghae asked and looked straight to the other one's deep eyes.
"Is it okay if I'll do the research and you'll write everything up?" Hyukjae asked and gave him bright, gummy smile. Donghae just kept on staring at him. Something in him just made him to watch.
"It's fine..."
An awkward silence fell to the room when Donghae finally ripped his eyes off of Hyukjae. He tried to gather his thoughts that were flying around in the room. But he found it very difficult when he felt Hyukjae's eyes on him. He wanted to look but he couldn't. What the hell Donghae? JUST DO SOMETHING FOR GOD'S SAKE!
"So..." Donghae started and looked up at the other guy and tried to get his voice clear. "Have you already looked for something?"
"Not much... I've only read the book and taken up some notes. But I'll search from the internet when I'll get home." He smiled.
"Oh, okay." And then there was a silence again. Donghae found himself staring at the floor and Hyukjae was looking at his hands on his lap and played with his finger nervously. For the first time in Donghae's whole life he felt awkward in someone's company. He was always so confident and charming. Now he had lost it all and he was so confused because of it that he couldn't do anything.
Silent knock to the door made both of them to rose their heads when Donghae's mom came to rescue them from the awkwardness.
"I made some snack for you." She said smiling and placed a tray to the desk. There were warm, fresh cookies, strawberries and chocolate. Hyukjae's eyes widened when he glanced the tray once and looked like he could jump on her just to take it and eat everything that was on it.
"Eat up. Hae, I'll go out to buy some groceries. I won't be late, okay?" She asked to Donghae and smiled her beautiful little smile.
"Oh, yes. Go ahead. We'll be fine." Donghae replied and managed to get his smile back to his lips. She nodded before leaving them alone again.
"Whoa! I love your mother!" Hyukjae exclaimed right after the door was closed. Donghae looked at him, stunned by the sudden change of his atmosphere.
"Why's that?" He asked, lifting his eyebrow and getting up to his feet so he could take some chocolate.
"I love strawberries over everything." Hyukjae said and immediately he had one of those berries in his mouth. He looked like he hadn't gotten food all day. Donghae laughed how he looked just like a monkey with his mouth full of strawberries.
"Yah! Stop laughing!" Hyukjae said but soon he was laughing too. The air in the room felt a lot easier to breath and Donghae felt himself more relaxed now.
He rose from his bed, took the tray and sat to the floor. Hyukjae looked at him with a look that said: WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE TAKING MY STRAWBERRIES?!
"Sit down Hyukjae." Donghae laughed and patted the floor next to him.
"Aish... Don't call me with my real name... it's boring. I'm Eunhyuk for friends." He smiled his gummy smile once again and sat next to Donghae, who looked at him mouth open. "And I'd recommend you to close your mouth." HE laughed and stuffed another strawberry into his mouth.
"And you should stop eating strawberries like a monkey!" Donghae laughed. He earned a smack to his head by Eunhyuk who acted like he would have pissed him off.
"You look like a fish when you're mouth all open!"
There was a huge laughter and both of them felt more comfortable with each others. They even forgot the presentation when they started to talk about school and popularity and girls and everything what you can imagine high school guys talking when they are alone. It turned out that Eunhyuk was really genius at school and that cost him that he was not popular. And because Donghae was popular in their school and hang out only with his friends, they had never even said 'Hi' to each others. But that was going to change soon.
