Hi, I'm a completely random person, but my friend asked if we could help out so I thought I'd try answering the questions

1. To be Quite Honest, at first I came across it by mistake. I was browsing Youtube for some R&B and HipHop songs and I just happened to see Epik High's "Love Love Love" in the sidebar, I clicked it, not expecting what I got at all, thinking it was just another American Artist. But you know, from there, in 2008, I just started to get addicted, adding all their music to my playlists and such. It was my first time hearing Music in Korean and, well, I think it just reeling me in, with how wonderful it sounded; How well it flowed, how great everything was put together

1. I listened to kpop long time ago, but i see them not as kpop, i just love ballad very much and so i listened to many soundtrack songs.
It become specifically likeness into kpop when my friend (a kpop hardcore with her super convincing ability) tell/show me everything she knew (and collected) so passionately. So I'm interested.

2. Basically, most asian music have the same root. Kpop, india, japan, etc have the same characteristic with dangdut here. But the package of kpop is so good, cool and elegant. And it's hard to become artist in korea when there are many multitalented artist who want to survive in entertainment too, there's many self-suicide case of artist in korea (life must be hard there).

P.S. I'll answer this 2-2 bcz i'm via handphone, hard to answer completely ;)
