~Sungmin's P.O.V~
One sunny morning, I was walking down the streets and I saw a guy under the tree, playing by himself. I came next to him and asked if I could play with him. He nodded and I was happy. Everytime I went past that tree,I would asked if I can play with him and he always agree. We become friends and after 2 years we become more closer. He was my bestfriend. Everytime my class would finish, I would go straight in that tree so that I would see him. But one day, after school, I decided to go play with him again,as usual,but when I came, he's not there anymore. Did he left? Is he going to come back? I waited there until midnight but he didn't showed up. I decided to go home that night. Since then, I always go there after school to wait for him. It's been 5 yrs since I saw him. It's been 5 years since he left me. I know it's stupid but I'm still waiting for him to come back.I miss him. I layed my head into the ground and closed my eyes.
"Hi Sungmin." A familiar husky voice called out. Am I dreaming? I opened my eyes to see the guy that I used to play with here next to the tree.
"Eunhyuk!" I stood up and hugged him. He hugged me back.
" I've been wanting to do this." He said. I looked at him,confused. He looks different now. He looks manlier and he's taller than me. I used to be taller than him.Unfair. He's body is so warm, that I just want to stay here forever.
"Why did you left me? I was waiting from you all this years." I asked him.
"I know, Sungmin." He whispered."You didn't answer my question yet." I said.
" I didn't left you. I was here all the time. I watch you from afar even though it hurts me so much. I followed you wherever you go just to make sure you're safe. But everytime I saw you right next in this tree,crying, I felt something that I should show up to you but I'm scared. I'm scared that you might push me away. I'm scared that you might not love me back." He explained carefully.
I was shocked on what he just said but at the same time happy.
"I lo-" He cut me off by putting one of his fingers in my mouth.
"Let me finish first." He said. I nodded. He smiled.
"Sungmin,I love you with all my heart. But I think you don't deserve me. If only I could turn back time, I would never leave you. But I couldn't. Always remember that I'll be here for you no matter what happen." I saw a tear in his face but he quickly wiped it away with his hands.
"I don't understand. Are you saying goodbye?" I asked him honestly. I can feel the liquid in my face but I ignored it.
"Yes. I have to go. This is for your own good. But before I go, please let me do something for you." he said.
"Okay." I answered. He took my face with both hands and kissed me. We were both crying now. He kissed me for a long time. His lips are so soft and red. Should I let him go? I asked myself.
He broke the kiss and he kiss me in both cheeks.
"I'll miss you. Sungmin, I love you goodbye." He turened his back to me and started walking away. I watched him until he's gone.
"Eunhyuk,I love you too." I whispered to myself. I know I will regret this for all my life because I didn't to him that I love him back. I sat on the ground and started crying. I will never forget this moment because this is the moment that I saw Eunhyuk and the moment he let go of me. I will alawys remember this place because it's where I met him and where he left me crying. I love him and he loves me. What's wrong with that? I guess, we are not meant for each other. I stood up and wiped my tears away. I looked around and saw a sharp metal. I picked it up and point it in my stomach.
"Eunhyuk, I love you too.Goodbye." I said. I felt the blood in ths tomach. It hurts. But my heart won't stop aching so I point it in my heart and jabbed it with the sharp metal. I fell on the ground and my vision went blurry.
"You witness everything, Mr. Tree." I said, weakly.
"Please keep it to yourself and don't let this memories fade way." I sobbed and............
That's when they started calling the old, big tree, THE TREE OF MEMORIES.
