Yeah, I know what you mean. In a lot of ways, I've been really lucky in that I've gotten to know my grandparents so well since they're fairly young and live in the same town. But it's like that's what makes it harder, because they're as much my parents as my parents in some ways. We lived with them for awhile when my parents first got divorced, and it's like Grandhootsie is listed before my Dad in terms of who to contact in an emergency. So it's like she's always been number 2 in terms of dependability as a caretaker.
But I do feel hopeful that she'll get through this and be ok since they found it so early, before she had any symptoms.
::hugs:: Thank you for the kind wishes. I don't really need anything more than that, I just wrote the post because I needed to get it all out of my system and actually commit it to some sort of existence outside of my head.
I'll be back home in a few weeks. :) Hopefully we can get together some during that time. Hope you're doing well.

Grandparents always have to go first. It happens, but here's hopeing this one take a while.
