I was reading this article today about a survey of American's favorite books. They polled different demographic groups and the Bible actually came in number one across all groups. Second place was "Gone With The Wind", third were the Tolkien books and fourth were the Harry Potters.

Barring the Bible, which I've probably read most of, I've only read two of the books on that list. And I wouldn't put either of them among my favorites. Apparently I'm not very in tune with mainstream American reading habits.

Me neither. I'm not into any of the big mainstream authors like Grisham, King, etc - and don't even get me started on Harry Potter! lol The only author I read who's a big bestseller is Jodi Picoult, and I was into her way before she became as well known as she is. I'm such a rebel ;)
