That Ivy looks great to me, little effort or no! I recognised her as soon as I looked at the pic. :p
KitchenAids are great. I would suggest to look more at the 'bowl-lift' models as opposed to the ones with the tilting heads, though, if you're looking into using one for kneading and what-not. They're more heavy duty in general, and I think the bowl-lift ones don't have any plastic parts in them, too, which is nice. I use mine all the time, and made our own bread for a year with it. :3
Yummy carrots! So impressed with your gardening. After the tomato I tried to grow a few years back (and it got stolen), I still have a poinsettia that's alive after almost a year (which for me is a huge thing), but I bought a flowering succulent and it has lost the charm that it had about a month ago :( - that is, the flowers have mostly dried away. My thumbs are really not green. I was told it was easy to look after, but maybe not easy enough.
Loving the pumpkins and costumes too.
My excitement in cooking recently is waking up the BBQ and finding a recipe for pumpkin and mushroom risotto that allowed me to cook pumpkin for the first time in my life. I've done it twice already, so I quite enjoyed that - it also makes a lot of servings. I was tempted to buy a Starwars baking book, but I don't think I would get far with that as my baking is mainly from a packet.
Aw thanks! My efforts are very modest and lazy ha ha Hey keeping any plant alive is an accomplishment in itself, even cactuses require effort and something of a green thumb :) Well most flowering plants have a set period of flowering, if you keep it watered and alive the flowers will come back at least once a year ^_^ Our Christmas cactus gets its flowers back right around Dec, which is where it got its name from :D
Thank you! :D Pumpkins were a real hit, always nice to make the kids happy :)
Man we didn't use our BBQ AT ALL this summer, no idea why! I wanna get back into it, keep thinking maybe the trick is to get a small hibatchi grill with charcoal instead of always fiddling with the big gas grill. You BBQed pumpkin?? That's amazing! :D Hey nothing wrong with packet baking, I've been looking at some really tasty recipes that involve using Pilsbury Crescent Rolls as the pastry ha ha!
Nah, all BBQ items have been meat related, but now that you mention it, grilled pumpkin sounds nice. However it was quite good in the risotto. I am about to embark on baking outside the packet, by using my new Starwars Cookbook. Okay, they're probably kid level recipes, but they sound awesome and the book came with cookie cutters! Whee!
