On the first day of Christmas.... 2018 version

Dec 14, 2018 20:34

All right... here we go. On time despite several attempts to freak me out with my inability to count. Why does nobody count Christmas Day itself? I post on the day... it freaking counts as twelve which makes this day one and I'm on time, damn it ( Read more... )

I tried to come up with a story to go with it, but... it just didn't really need one. T-shirt ( who is taking commissions now that I'm not monopolizing her time!) did a wonderful job again. :D

Only on the inside. There would be no germ spread at least. And this time of year, THAT would be a good thing! Sick people and their 'I must take my germs for a walk because the calendar says I must go do things in public NO MATTER WHAT!

That's really spiffy. ^__^ T-shirt always does pretty work.

Germs? That's why Kringle brought us the internet. ^__~ I haven't been xmas shopping in a store in years and I wish the germ-spreaders would take the hint.

I mostly avoided it this year too... but there are still a few places you just have to go. And people are just so careless... or else misery loves company this time of year.
Someday I too will achieve in stopping the madness. It's just nuts that I need a new fridge, and probably have spent enough on Christmas to have BOUGHT one! December does not equal practical....
And yes, the art is lovely. No idea what they are doing with the ornament, but it certainly looks awesome floating off into mystery... :D

Yeeeah... I kinda have to fondle the yarn in person. But yarn shops, Michael's and Joann's aren't near as bad as big boxes or the mall.

New fridge?! Bottom freezers rock! I love mine. ^___^

It looks like they've caught a falling star. ^__^

This one is starting to rust around the edges and I don't think the door seals right and it freezes anything on the freezer side of the fridge. *sigh* But there will be video games and crap under the non-existent tree that we really just HAD to have. *rolls eyes* I hate this time of year. :/

Beautiful. Particularly attractive after fighting my way around a supermarket filled with Christmas shoppers this morning.

I did look for this yesterday but couldn't see it - probably too early or not logged in (again).

Please don't give up - this tradition is one I look forward to and makes these last irritating days a little more bearable. Although I won't make wax dolls of you to stick pins in them if you can't find the energy for it - I'm thinking of re-posting some old Christmas fics and that makes me feel exhausted without writing any new ones.

The shoppers! They are everywhere! Like zombies...
Every year that I have trouble, I swear I'm going to do better the next year. Really. So... I will say that now and get it out of the way; I will start earlier! :D Old fic is just as good as new fic! I started rereading some of my favorite childhood books and I'm finding they are almost new because I just don't remember! LOL
