Potential bunny: it would be seasonally appropriate to write them having to tell the kid about Santa. I'd be curious whether they choose to perpetuate the myth or just get the bubble-bursting out of the way early...

if duo's having this hard of a go with time out, how's he posssssibly gonna handle puberty?!? i mean... *his* experience with puberty was to swipe a gundam and go on a rampage! he's gonna have quuuuuiiiiiiite the adventure readjusting to whatever the kids are up to these days when seth gets there!
that'd probably be a pretty dark story in the making! duo and heero comparing notes about their terrible childhoods, getting in a deeply angsty mood, then trying to work themselves out of the muck so they can edit things up a bit for the kiddo. ...duo's got a loooong haul ahead of him, yo!

Try ringing the emergency services by accident 10 mins after you could have left work because you're trying to set up the "shut for Christmas" message... now that was bad.
