As a writer and avid reader I am aware more than most that every good story has to come to a close, that eventually the author has to sit down and pen that final page and that the reader has to close the cover and return the book to its shelf

You were the biggest influence on my writing as a baby writer and the nicest, warmest, most welcoming of the Big Names. Decades later and I can still visualize your stories so clearly, you had such a gift for imagery and for emotional truth. You were always positive and encouraging and never dramatic and you just made being in fandom feel so safe and comfortable.

We haven't talked in years and now we won't again. I'll miss you. I'll miss the safety of knowing you exist. I'll miss you next Christmas and every Christmas after that. Thank you for having been there for so long. Thank you for thinking of us even now.

I'm really sorry for your family, losing someone like you. I'll keep them in my thoughts as well.

Rest in Peace Sunhawk. Your work remains some of my favourite reads in the GW fandom and has truly stood the test of time. You will be missed and I sincerely hope your family finds peace in the outpouring of love and support that your passing will engender.
