PART 3 ALL ABOUT YUNAJE....
TINA: What does yunjae represent to you?
MARY: Two people that I’ve made into characters. Two people whose real lives of singing and dancing and acting have made me very, very happy.
TINA: Why are we obsessed with Yunjae?
MARY: I imagine this answer is different for everyone. For me, imagining the two of them together makes me so happy. It doesn’t matter if it’s real or not, just the idea of two people being that awesome together and that much in love is incredible.
TINA: Why is that Yunjae in stories can do anything and we support them?(Ex: affair, Incest, home wrecker)
MARY: I will c/p what I said earlier about this. The thing about stories, is that you can put yourself in them. You can explore stuff, learn about stuff, experience stuff without actually having to be there. Everyone is allowed their kinks and fandom is a shame-free place to admit that. Having said that, there are some things I don’t like to read and incest, non-con and dub-con, are some of them. We have kinks but we also have limits.
TINA: Tomorrow headlines Jaejoong confirms he is in a relationship with a girl. How do you feel?
MARY: Fine. He can do whatever he likes, it’s his life. I will still like him.
TINA: Asian celebrities often get married in secret and hide the fact they are indeed married..So one member of TVXQ is in that married status. How do you feel?
MARY: Ecstatic. Like honestly, I keep waiting for their marriages to happen IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN. I want to see cute TVXQ babies and smitten TVXQ in love, for real. Right now.
TINA: How real is Yunjae and how much is in fact Fan service?
MARY: Well, this we’ll never know. There’s really no way for us to know.
TINA: Do you think Jaejoong is gay?
MARY: Sometimes, yes. But I think outside of fic it’s not really for me to speculate.
TINA: When Yunjae comes out publicly……..
MARY: If they did, than fine. I mean okay. I’d probably be a little smug haha. But this is South Korea we’re talking about. That would never happen.
TINA: Does yunho look gayer than Jaejoong?
MARY: I’ve never really liked the idea that you “look” like a particular sexuality. I mean, it’s a trope for a reason and sometimes it can be obvious. But there are people that don’t look stereotypically gay that are gay people that do not look stereotypically gay but aren’t.
TINA: Do you think they meet secretly and still friends or even lovers?
MARY: I imagine they still meet up. Who knows as what.
TINA: I heard Jaejoong song Nine is for Yunho even though he denied it?What do you think?
MARY: Pretty sure he denied it was. I’m going to trust him on that and leave it alone.
TINA: What is it about Yunjae that makes you sacrifice your time and energy upon writing fictions.
MARY: They’re wonderful people that make incredible characters. I love writing and I love putting them in different worlds and places and exploring. That is anything but a sacrifice.
TINA: Your future plans for fanfics?
MARY: To keep writing, for as long as I can.
TINA: Thoughts on homosexuality?
MARY: Love is love is love
TINA: What do you think of people who think homo sexuality is a sin and a disease which can be cured?
MARY: It’s none of their business and it isn’t hurting anyone.
TINA:What do you think we should do to make the world accept homosexuality?
MARY: Learn to love each other, always, all the time (this is my solution for everything, tbh)
TINA: in the future your kid comes out to you. What will you do?
MARY: Be fine with it. Support them. Love them. Always.
TINA: Pride or love?
MARY: I’m not sure what you mean here, but my default answer to everything is love.

TINA: Do you believe in love at first sight?
MARY: Yes. But I think it’s rare.
TINA: what are your views on Yoochun scandal?
MARY: I could write an essay about this. No one wants to read that. I’m done discussing it.
TINA: Since Junsu has been in a relation with a girl has yoosu ship sunk?
MARY: I LOVE that Junsu and Hani were together. They looked good :) Ships only sink if we let them.
TINA: I have read somewhere that Jae and Chun are looking more like lovers than friends..what do you think?
MARY: I don’t really care one way or another? They can think that. That’s what shipping is.
TINA: Are we deluding ourselves by making these OTP’s?
MARY: I think some people are definitely a little more deluded than others. When I sit down to write it’s with the understanding that I’m not actually writing ~them~. Not really. I don’t know them. I only see what they allow me to see. I take that and their pretty faces and sweet voices and I make it into something wonderful to read. CDL!Jaejoong is not the real Jaejoong. Law!verse Yunho is not the real Yunho. Even when I write canon it’s not really them. It’s my idea of them that I put onto paper. It’s another way for me to memorialize what they mean to me. But I’m not going to get mad when they get married. I’m not going to be pissed when they date girls. At the end of the day, their private lives are just that..and they’re also this: none of our goddamn business.

TINA: I have heard Asian think westerns are ugly?
MARY: Every race has “ugly” people and “pretty” people. That’s life, unfortunately. We all judge each other even though we shouldn’t.
TINA: Asian gives importance to skin color. dark skin is big no no to Asians? Do you think it is ok to think like that?
MARY: Fuck. No. I really want them to get the hell over this already. It’s so terrible.
TINA: How Important is skin color to you?
MARY: Not important at all.
TINA: Opinions on plastic surgery?
MARY: I personally would not do it. But if other people feel that they need to, than that’s their prerogative. No judgement.
TINA: Do you think jaejoong’s infamous beauty had help from the plastic surgeon?
MARY: I know he’s had some work done, but I think he was pretty before as well.
TINA: What do you think of Siwon from super junior’s statement when he said in a radio interview..”I don’t mind dating western girls but marry an Asian girl my mom approves of?
MARY: I’ve heard a lot of people say that. Yoochun’s said it too, I think. Coming from the US, only marrying within a culture isn’t something I quite understand. But I do understand that we all have different “types” and if they want to stick within them, than they can.
TINA: Why should we be obsessed with pop idols when they don’t even know we exist?
MARY: It’s the nature of famous people. Actors don’t know all their fans but they act and we love them. Authors don’t know all their readers but they write and we love it. George Lucas doesn’t know me from God but I LOVE STAR WARS ANYWAY. If your love needs to be validated I would propose it’s not true love at all.
