LET'S GET TO KNOW HOW BEECASSIOPEIA DELIVERS US SUCH AWESOME FICS ..
ALL ABOUT WRITING FANFICTIONS

TINA: How and when did you decide to be a fanfic author?
PHOEBE: Back in 2010, I was looking for a way to improve my English. Since I was really into kpop, I started writing YunJae. I only began posting as BeeCassiopeia in 2012.

TINA: What made you to sit down and actually write something?
PHOEBE: It's something I really enjoy. So it came “naturally” to be.

TINA:What is the first fanfic you completed?
PHOEBE: If we don't count one shots, my first completed chaptered story is Vanishing Love. I was very proud of myself when I finished it, but now, looking back, that fic is kinda embarrassing and lacks in many ways.

TINA: How did you get your idea for your first fanfic?
PHOEBE: I got the idea for Innocent Bird when I saw a picture of an angel in a cage and the cage was inside a beautiful garden. I thought how about Jaejoong as the pure kindhearted angel. And Yunho would be the human who sat not far from there and enjoy his breakfast.

TINA: Have you had any prior experience of writing before your first fanfic?
PHOEBE: English story writing experience? Nada. But I believe that anyone can write stories if you are willing to sit down and take the time to do the task.

TINA: Have you ever plagued by doubts on your storyline?
PHOEBE: Always. That's why I have people with whom I can discuss my storylines. Having doubts is normal. It’s simply human.

TINA: How do you promote your fanfic to readers?
PHOEBE: I usually cross post my fanfics on JaehoDetox and Twitter. Besides that, I don't really do anything.

TINA: Have you ever been anxious about how the readers receive your story?
PHOEBE: Of course I’m anxious. It’s always hard to predict if the story I’m posting will be well received. Sometimes, the best thing you had to offer may not be the best thing for another person.

TINA: Thoughts on how you felt when you see the first comment on the first story? Do you remember who is the first commenter?
PHOEBE: Now and back then, whenever I receive a notification, I feel like I’m opening a gift and not knowing what’s inside. As we speak, I’m still a little nervous before reading the comments. And I absolutely love that feeling.
On LiveJournal, it was Devilaugh. On AFF, I don't remember anymore since it goes all the way back to 2012 and I deleted my account… but whoever you are, thank you!

TINA: How do you prepare yourself before writing a fanfic?
PHOEBE: I like to plot my fics using the five point narrative plan: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action and denouement . Something real quick to set a rough path to follow. Sometimes, I would do researches for the topics I write (because I like to know what I write. It’s something really annoying at time).

TINA: Do you work out plot line or do you prefer to see where your ideas or inspiration take you?
PHOEBE: A very general plot line is really helpful to get your plot coherent. Usually, I plan the ending first because I don't want my stories to drag on endlessly. During the process, I will write depending on my muse and inspiration. Sometimes, I brainstorm and do a checklist of things/events I want to see in the story and try to fit everything in as I write.

TINA: When and how does your inspiration or muse come to you?
PHOEBE: My inspirations come at the most random moment. While I'm in bed, in the shower or driving. Sometimes when I'm busy doing real life things as working, studying or in the middle of my exams (this is the most inconvenient moment ever)...

TINA: How much research do you do for your story?
PHOEBE: Depends. If I'm writing sensitive topics, I will do a lot of research because I don't want to offend anyone. Not long ago, I read a lot about PTSD and veterans. You never know if someone among your readers or family members had already lived/currently living through something similar. That's why I believe nobody should take sensitive topics lightly. So, it’s very important to be careful about what you write.

TINA: What is the easiest and hardest part of writing?
PHOEBE: Plotting is the easiest part. The act of writing itself is the hardest part for me. The blank page syndrome is no joke. It’s like a lonely me with a pencil, trying to survive a zombie apocalypse!

TINA: The writer’s worst nightmare the dreaded writer’s block. When was the worst writer’s block you ever had? How did you overcome it?
PHOEBE: Whenever I'm on a writing slump (which actually last 360 days per year), I read and force myself to write. It doesn't matter if it's good or bad, 30 minutes everyday until I get back on track which never quite happens so smoothly.

TINA: Any useful tips on how to overcome the writer’s block?
PHOEBE: Actually, I am the one who needs tips! If anyone has suggestions, please tell me!

TINA: Have you written any collaboration with other authors? If yes name of the fanfic.
PHOEBE: I haven’t collab with other writer. But I would love to write a collaboration with someone!

TINA: How do you describe your writing style? Do you think you have your own personal writing style?
PHOEBE: Wordy with overly long sentences. I find my writing hard to understand sometimes. I would love to write in simple and short sentences. But it’s so hard.

TINA: How do you think you've evolved creatively throughout the years? Do you notice any change in the way you write?
PHOEBE: Creatively? I don't know if I have changed at all. But I did notice that I write differently now, compared to how I used to write when I first started.

TINA: MUTILATED JAEJOONG (SOLDIER, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE)..HOW DID YOU THINK THE READERS' REACTIONS WILL BE WHEN THEY READ THAT PART?
PHOEBE: I believe readers think that part was excessive and unnecessary. Some are even disgusted. It wasn't my inital intention to mutilate Jaejoong in that fic. I just wanted to show different kinds of people and different sides of a human being. Nobody is just black or white, but war and violence bring the worst and the ugliest side of us.

TINA: PENGUINS AS YUNJAE. WHAT IS YOUR INSPIRATION BEHIND THAT FIC?
PHOEBE: Truthfully, I was just fooling around on Twitter with random penguin gifs with @_karassi. Somehow, as we exchanged tweets, that fic simply happened.

TINA: WOLF VERSE IS MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE. ARE YOU GOING TO ADD MORE TO THIS VERSE?
PHOEBE: Wolf verse is also one of my personal favorites, so there's definitely more. I have a prequel and a sequel stocked somewhere in my head for years, I just need to write it down. :P

TINA: How important are readers and their comments?
PHOEBE: Readers are the most important things ever. Without readers, writers have no purpose. And I really appreciate all the comments my readers left me. Thank you.

INA: I have been a silent reader for few months before taking the steps to comment. Any words for silent readers?
PHOEBE:Just enjoy my stories. Sure, receiving comments is great and I do like having them (who doesn’t, seriously? xD), but it’s up to readers to leave comments or not. My belief is that if I don’t write to my favourite published authors a fan letter whenever I enjoyed one of their books, I have no right to force anyone to comment on my posts. However, feedback are greatly appreciated /wink wink/

TINA: Do you read other yunjae fanfics? If yes name of the fanfic you loved?
PHOEBE: To be honest, I rarely read YunJae fanfics nowadays. First because, I'm an extremely picky reader and second, I’m really busy with real life stuffs.

TINA: Are you friends with any other author’s?
PHOEBE: Over the years, I get to know a few writers online. We have some really nice people in this fandom. We just have to reach out for them first.

TINA: How do you make your stories standout when there are heaps of other stories with similar plot lines?
PHOEBE: I don’t know if my stories actually standout, but I just write what I enjoy reading.

TINA: Has anyone stole your story and published under their name? Thoughts on others stealing your work?
PHOEBE: I don't know, I guess I'm just lucky that it hasn't happened to me. But, if one day, it actually happens, there’s nothing much I can do… Even contents with copyrights get plagiarize, there’s no guarantee what could happen to free contents on Internet.

TINA: How do you manage your time between your daily activities and updating stories?
PHOEBE: I...can't... That's why I don't update often. The lack of time squeezes away my muse.

TINA: Do you have any favorite time of the day to write stories?
PHOEBE: I’m a night bird. I like writing in the middle of the night between 12AM and 3-4 AM, alone in the dark with inspirations dancing in my head.

My favorite topic SMUT (blushing)

TINA: So tells us why are we so interested to read these taboo topics when it comes to yunjae?
PHOEBE:Taboo topics is quite subjective. As for me, I don’t enjoy some subjects because they are just so wrong. I don’t care if it’s Yunjae or another OTP, fiction or real events, I just don’t read them. For example, I can’t deal with the whole concept of romancing rape. Rape is a serious crime no matter in what context it happens. “No” means no. There’s no such thing as “s/he didn’t really meant it” or “s/he loves you, that’s why s/he did it”. I find many of those topics so poorly dealt. I wonder how a victim would react while reading it. You never know who will read it when the content is put out there in the open and on the Internet. It may be written in good faith and for the sole purpose of entertaining other. But one will not understand the aftermath of such despicable act until they are at the receiving end. The same goes for abusive relationship, unhealthy BDSM, stalking, pedophilia, etc. etc. Those things leave deep scars on one person’s mind and body, destroy a person completely. Hence, those subjects should be treated with maturity, respect and understanding.

TINA: How difficult or easy is writing smut?
PHOEBE: Writing smut is hard, especially good smut. In my personal opinion, good sex
should be all about feelings, the use of the five senses rather than the dirty talks or biology words. A good smut scene is a piece of art!

TINA: Do you blush or get embarrassed while writing smut?
PHOEBE: Nope, I used to write smut in classes. I don't really care, if they can read 50 Shades of Grey in public transportation without batting an eyelash, why can't I write my smut? xD

TINA: How do you write the sex scene? What is the inspiration?
PHOEBE: Whenever I start writing smut, I would Google "How to write ___".

TINA: Have you ever watched GV before writing a smut scene?
PHOEBE: No. Porn is boring and fake. I'm more the romantic type.

TINA: Has any family member or friends have ever walked on you while writing a sex scene?
PHOEBE: I write smut in the living room while watching TV with my parents. They know I write stories. What kind of stories? That they never ask nor do they want to read.

TINA: Thoughts after writing your first ever sex scene?
PHOEBE: It sucks. My smuts are not that bad… but they are lacking. I really do envy those who master the art of sex!

TINA: Future yunjae projects?
PHOEBE: Currently, I'm focusing on finishing my ongoing fanfics. I may have some side project planned as well ;)

TINA: Do you have plans on deleting your journal?
PHOEBE: Not unless I have to. I believe that fanfics should be free and available. So I have no plans to lock or delete my journal.

TINA: Any words for the readers?
PHOEBE: The deepest and sincerest thank you to everyone who reads or had read my fanfics. Even though I don't always reply to the comments, I enjoy reading them and see
your reactions.

End of part 2.
