One Whole Year
Today has officially been an entire year of being married. Jason and I have been through a lot this year, but we made it through. The house is coming along quite nicely. I have been in one of those moods most recently where nothing seems to matter. I am not happy, I am not sad, I am just here. I don't really know how it started but I already don't like it. Okay, so I guess that you could say life is returning back to normal. We are getting used to the lack of "Stuff" that we own. I am no longer searching for just one more thing that may have survived the flood. We have filled out all necessary paperwork and are patiently waiting on responses. Life goes on. We have moved on. Okay, so life is slowly returning to normal. Well, as normal as it can when you are living somewhere that is not your home. We are getting into the swing of things, and getting into a routine. Flood Update
I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who has been so supportive over this difficult time. Jason and I are doing well. We are still staying at Ted's (Jason's dad) house as we continue to clean up the huge mess. Currently everything has been bleached and nothing that is not going back in the house is in there. Disaster Strikes
Jason and I are currently without anything. Our home flooded over the weekend. Thank goodness we were not there, but everything is gone. We had four feet of standing water in the house. Memorial Day Weekend
I love long weekends! There is always so much to do, but it was great having the extra day off. Friday was date night with my husband. He took me out to dinner at Las Palmas, one of my most favorite Mexican restaurants. Then we went to see Indiana Jones. It was the first movie we have gone to see in a really long time. Life/Work/Book Fair
Well school is out for the semester. I should say school is out for the Spring Semester. I have summer classes that start on Thursday to begin to tackle. I am excited for them to begin. A little bit of everything
The teacher inservice went really well. I was impressed with the way the entire class was able to convey their messages. I found it really motivating to stand in front of my professors and teach them about technology tools they have not heard of. It was just one more step in journey to professional excellence. Every time I think I am going to get better at this updating game, I mess it up. Life has been hectic to say the least. There are 3 more weeks left of the semester, so that means there is nothing but finals and projects going on in my world. I am ready for the summer to be here. Oh wait...I don't have one of those.
