You have such wonderfully descriptive imagery and a way of writing that leaves my heart aching. Oh, boys. *hugs them all tight* Everything about this was perfect, absolutely perfect. ♥♥♥
It was such a pleasure to do art for this and for you; a fabulous fic deserved the best I could do. *smishes*
Dammit, I don't even like Dean/Gabriel, but I'm trying to expand my horizons and wow, was it worth it. I'm seriously tearing up here.
Seeing true forms hidden behind the vessels (Lucifer's dragon head)? Gabriel trapped inside Dean's body (the implication that it's not so much inhabiting the vessels as leaving them that makes them burn out so quickly), Dean trapped inside his own dreamscape, slowly losing his memories…lovely-gorgeous.
Thank you so much! And I'm glad you gave Dean/Gabriel a try; they were my first OTP in Supernatural and I've still got a ridiculous amount of fondness for the pairing.
Wonderful story, I had tears welling up in my eyes. I love your descriptions of the angel's true forms; I heart your Lucifer and Gabriel interaction, and love a lot of other little things in this fic. Thank you for writing this, I still have a soft spot for Dean/Gabriel.
Oh this fic, the ending squeezed my heart so badly. I loved it. Gabriel's pain was tangible through the story and how I wished for it to be gone or lessened. I kept waiting for the moment when Dean would speak his true name, because I'm sure Gabriel wanted to hear that word rolling off Dean's tongue so much.
Thank you so much! You're completely right, of course, Gabriel spent the whole thing wanting to hear Dean say his real name (anyone, really, but Dean in particular) and then gets his wish at the end, in the one way he never wanted. *sighs* And now I feel guilty all over again.
But thank you, again, for your kind words. I'm glad to know that you enjoyed it!
