This is actually one of the reasons I stopped waling around my neighborhood. There were some teen-aged guys, that hung out at the furthest point in my walk (one of them lived at the house across the street) and they would make comments, whilst not rude in their language made me feel uncomfortable.

Were I their age and not their parents' age I probably would have been flattered. "Looking good!" isn't really offensive; just made me feel noticed when I didn't want to be and since I didn't know them, I didn't trust them to behave.

Guys that equate personal security with taxes they like are idiots of the highest degree.

If I lived some place more dangerous, I'd think about carrying. I just dno't know if I'd actually be able to use it to defend myself.

Cretinous skulking ghouls are everywhere, it seems. And it is not fair that they are so ubiquitous. If life were WoW, the solution would be more obvious. As for CHP, I am not sure how I feel about applying it to myself. It does not bother me that others do. I try to picture myself old-west style sometimes...if I had CO2 lasers mounted on each hip. Another science fair project suggestion.
