i don't want to go off in a rant here but if you read the platform being pushed by kerry and edwards, you would realize that they are not planning to pull all of the troops from iraq. its common knowledge that we need to stay there now that the damage is done. we, as a country, are respsonsible for ourselves and our leaders. I really do appreciate you writing that to me. And I also appreciate the support you offer to my husband and brother-in-law and to the men and woman at arms in general. You're completely right to stand by your opinion, and I completely respect that. I however like to be able to put faith in a man's word...any man's word...and especially the Presidents. I just can't trust Kerry. You're right, he may be the lesser of the two evils, but I'd like to see Bush finish out this mess.

the problem is will we be out of this mess in 4 more years? it took nearly a decade to fix japan after we took them out in wwII a statistic that isnt readily thrown around anymore.... its scary for sure

Oh...I don't know. I said the 4 years thing as a joke. I guess I'd just like to see him finish this out. Too bad it's taken us this long to get to this place.

But what drives me insane...is everytime Kerry says that this war has been a mistake, I can see it on the soldier's faces that that comment makes them upset...and that kills me. Oh what a beautiful mess we're all in, huh?
