people hate on this issue and other issues like this only because people are afraid of hearing the truth. little ole' anoymous down there seems to just be afraid of the truth and seeing everyone who has served our country and died in the line of fire, written for everyone to see.

These men and women gave their lives for the country they loved. They volunteered to defend freedom, understanding the consequences, and unfortunately paid the ultimate price. Sacrifice is not choosing when and where to die. Sacrifice is putting it all on the line for something greater than oneself. Everyone on this list understood that, and that's what is truly regrettable: that our best and brightest fight to defend the rights of people who simply take what they have for granted. The type of person who burns the American flag in protest, exercising their free speech, ignorant to the fact that they burn the very symbol of the Constitution that provides that right. These people did not die senselessly. They did not die to secure Fallujah, just as our soldiers didn't die for a few feet of land in the trenches of WWI; just as our soldiers didn't die to secure a bit of North Africa in WWII; just as our soldiers didn't die to win a meaningless field in Pennsylvania during the Civil War. i have a few responses to this, first i am not michael moore, my name is joe. secondly i believe in many things, first that this country, which believe me i adore, is mine to change with my voice, with my words, with my protest. i believe in justice, a non-concrete theory, similar to God, which tells me that i am the only person who can voice my concern about the world. i was born with a voice and given the ability to use that voice in any method i see fit. i choose in the vein of mohandas ghandi, dr. martin luther king, jr., and thomas paine, to use my words in protest. to take a fiery statement and levy it upon an unsuspecting public in such a way that they might take offense to it. and that i assure you is my point, that is why i make these statements, and why i must beleive the righteousness of yours as well. you have the right to say that i should be shameful, despite the fact that i might feel proud. and i tell you, anonymous, that i will never feel shame over my opinions, espescially when on that list of names i can

I was glad to see a few responses to my original anonymous post. Let me first apologize for the confusion with regards to the author of the protest, as clearly I understand the difference between you, joe, and michael moore. I let my animosity for him personally override the issue at hand, and please realize that several of my previous comments were directed at him, and not you, based on the byline at the bottom. I believe the shame is his for his misrepresentation of facts and his low-brow comments with regards to all those who do not share his opinion
