I can't imagine doing that to someone. In fact, I think I would be in contact with a friend MORE, for both moral support and any help I can give.

People who would forsake someone just because they lost their job aren't friends to begin with.

Just imagine if she was also single, or from an abusive family. There are lots of people out there suffering from that "worse" case scenario.

Definitely we all need timely reminders to be friends in good times and in bad.
