Pretty soon, we aren't going to be able to fly at all. Or to fly we will have to just bring us and our purses and buy stuff whereever we are going, only to have to either pay megabucks to send it home, or to have to throw it away before boarding the plane. I think I'll take the bus.

seriously, i don't know that i ever want to fly again. i mean, i know we will, but i'm not going to want to.
they'll probably want us there three hours ahead of time, now. and they'll go through all bags with fine toothed combs.

yea, i think i'll take the bus with you.
or the train. heh, train travel is going to become en vogue again, i bet.

and then they'll attack those.
so we'll all start going by bus.
and then they'll attack those.
so then we'll start flying again.
wash, rinse, repeat.

i know. i just miss the oblivious bubble the US got to live in (for the most part) before september 11th. you know, back when terrorist attacks were vaguely terrible things that happened somewhere else.
and i really hate that little kids are growing up in a fearful world.

you are right that a lot of people were living in an opaque bubble. i just wish the price of bursting it hadn't been quite so high, you know?
