I bought Marie Antoinette for $9 today. I'd never seen it, it didn't really look like something I'd be into. But, it features one of my favourite songs, Jynweythek Ylow by Aphex Twin, so I thought I may as well get it

loveeee aphex twin yay i listen to him on the train home after uni in the evening. the bomb. so relaxing. haha what other stuff do you like by him? i just listen to selected ambient works all the time :p

Oh man I fucking HATED that movie. I'm glad someone else hated it as well.
I just think she missed the point completely. The story of Marie Antoinette is really interesting and amazing, and how they were captured and eventually executed would make a MUCH better movie. But that's just me, history nut.

Yeah, it was an awesome story in reality! I mean, I am totally all for a modern take on it, I don't normally like highly accurate historical movies hahaha, but man. She left a lot out. I never got any impact, any relevance to what actually happened. I mean, they both DIED in the end, and we only seem them drift away into the distance? Haha, what.
Great potential for a funky, modern take on an awesome event, and she totally dulled the fuck out of it lol
