The Frontier "Fucking" Wives were one of my most favorite bands from the time I was 19 until I was about 28.  They still are one of my favorite bands even though I never see them, haven't seen them play together in over a decade, and only own one album (to my knowledge, there was only one to own).  So how can such a group stay so heavily ensconced ( Read more... )

That just about sums it all up perfectly. It's nearly impossible to explain the so-happy-i-could-die feelings one of their shows would inspire or the involuntary-spastic-need-to-move-or-die their music would inspire to anyone that wasn't there to witness both.

Less obvious than nostalgia, would be the actual men in the band.

I even found myself preferring their covers of Space Truckin' and Breakin' The Law to the originals.
me too! funny, the other day i was listening to my ipod and space truckin' came on and i found myself dumbfounded as to how i managed to get the wives on itunes and then realized i was listening to the original song version...DUH!!! *facepalm*

So, like a lot of people, I write my letters of love knowing they'll probably never see it, but at least I've gotten it off my considerable decolletage.nicely done, better'n i could've done. *sigh* awww our misspent youth...how lucky we were. so ( ... )
