"Wicca doesn't really go away, Jane. I just am. And I'm going to do something they often call 'checking aura's', though that's a bit new age. I'm just going to check it for magick." I tried to sound all knowledagable and stuff. After all, this was my area.
I shut my eyes for a moment, calling space around us, and whisper "opthama" three times. Then I opened them...
"It's got an ugly green glow to it. Not at all like mom was supposed to have. I don't know, maybe we shouldn't open it. On the other hand, the two of us might be able to take care of it, and then we'd be hero's, and we wouldn't bother mom and Aunt Buffy. And Tara."
Tara, who we all though was dead. I'd seen pictures of her, Aunt Willow's true love (well, her and Oz...it was weird).

But they were teenagers, so anything goes. "Jane, behave yourself for Aunt Tara and Dawn. Don't go getting into anything and do not touch that box." I yelled towards the bathroom door. "I'm going to get grandpa from the airport and I'll be back soon. Order whatever you all want and get me anything that isn't too disturbed sounding in name."
With my jacket slung over the bend of my arm, I made my leave. Stake safely in pocket and cross hanging from my neck. Oh, I really wanted a fight. Just not right now. I didn't need Giles to be left waiting on.
