It had been a week since Taylor left, and each day that Dawn stomped upstairs was another day that I wished there was something I could do for her. I knew how it felt to be the only one in the house, especially with Mom. I had no idea whether or not it would work, but I was willing to make an effort at least. It wasn't fair to pull a girl out of ( Read more... )

Ugh don't you just wish that people would leave you alone forever. But that never happens. It's like all the times you want to be alone you have all the people in the world bugging you with those pesky questions and times you want people around they aren't around. I rested the pillow atop my lap while her eyes squinted shut so hard I thought they might tear. I knew mornings were hard, but was I this difficult to wake up? I am sure my mother would be smiling now ( ... )

Ack I heard mom yell that I wasn't up and I needed to get up and get dressed. I sat up but as soon as she said I was taking the bus my head hit my pillow. I hate the bus. It's so...the dorks ride the bus. I miss Sunnydale Junior High. That was walking distance so was Sunnydale Elementary. She didn't have time for my goofing around so I got myself out of bed, grabbed a towel and went into the bathroom ( ... )

"I can help move Buffy's stuff up. I labeled the boxes last night. I know I actually didn't stay in my room all night. I made with the being useful. SO they are all ready to be moved to the attic."

I glanced at her, I was shocked that she had done that. I had been packing up most of Buffy's stuff, even though I knew it was a bit soon. I just didn't like the thought of it all sitting there collection dust. I also knew that if she wanted anything it would be easier just to grab a box and drive it over.

"Well looks like someone was a bit of an over-achiever.. let's see you apply that same attitude at class?"

"Ugh why do I have to take the bus. Can't I just walk. It's not that far. Or I could always drive. What I do know how. I get my license when I turn 16 right?"I gave her a look. She knew as well as I, that not even now that Buffy was in College was she allowed to drive. Things were so close in Sunnydale, that a car wasn't really needed. Plus I could barely afford to keep this house together let alone pay for two teenage girls on ( ... )
